SarahPAC: Setting The Record Straight – Wrong & Misleading

Posted on August 22 2011 - 11:33 PM - Posted by:

SarahPAC released the following statement:

Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24-hour news cycle and that all Americans will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.

PS – Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight and including Governor Palin’s own words.

Here is an excerpt from the CNN article by Peter Hamby referenced above:

Here she is, in her own words:

Q: When is a good time? Do you have a timeline?

Palin: I have said that that August/September timeframe is important for logistical and legal reasons to jump in there, but…

Q: So by next month?

Palin: I think that just practically speaking that has to be kind of a drop dead time. Also, in fairness to supporters, who are standing on the timeline, and this is what I have told Todd over and over again, I don’t want to be seen as or perceived as stringing people along, asking supporters, ‘Oh don’t just jump in there on someone else’s bandwagon because I may jump in, so hold off a little bit.’ That is not fair to them. After another month or two goes by, they need to know who it is that they can jump behind. Now more than ever, everybody has got to get involved in this 2012 election. They need to get out there and campaign for their chosen candidates, its all the more reason to hurry up and decide.

A few moments later, there was this exchange:

Q: Will you know by the next time you are here in Iowa whether you will be in, over Labor Day?

Palin: I doubt it. By the next time I am here by September 3? I don’t know if within the next couple of weeks I will be ready for an announcement or not.

Q: So the end of September is no longer a viable deadline?

Palin: No, he was asking about my next visit here on September 3, if I would be ready for an announcement September 3. And I said I don’t know if I would be ready by September 3.

Q: So the end of September would still be your timetable?

Palin: That is still a possibility for a timetable. Yes, definitely.

I extend an invitation to all Sarah Palin fans living in perpetual anticipation - in constant angst - to get behind Rick Perry.

Yeah right...

Do your own homework, my kids were grown and moved out by then.

I don't care about M. Malkin or your opinion on Perry.

Do your own vetting.

Thanks for the link. Not a simple procedure is it?

State Form Required: Yes.

An affidavit signed by the applicant or, if a minor, by the applicant's parent or guardian stating that the applicant declines immunization for reasons of conscience, including a religious belief. A form must be obtained at the Health Department.

§ 42.043(d)(2) is the exemption code.

§ 42.043. RULES FOR IMMUNIZATIONS.
(d) No immunization may be required for admission to a facility regulated under this chapter if a person applying for a child's admission submits one of the following affidavits:
(1) an affidavit signed by a licensed physician stating that the immunization poses a significant risk to the health and well-being of the child or a member of the child's family or household; or
(2) an affidavit signed by the child's parent or guardian stating that the applicant declines immunization for reasons of conscience, including a religious belief.
(d-1) An affidavit submitted under Section (d)(2) must be on a form described by Section 161.0041, Health and Safety Code, and must be submitted not later than the 90th day after the date the affidavit is notarized.

Lots of other links in your link. Here's just a bit of one of them:

Vaccine Safety Group Releases GARDASIL Reaction Report Calls on FDA and CDC to Warn Doctors and Parents to Report to VAERS

WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) today released a new analysis of the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) reports of serious health problems following HPV vaccination (Merck's GARDASIL) during the last six months of 2006. Out of the 385 individual GARDASIL adverse event reports made to VAERS, two-thirds required additional medical care and about one-third of all reports were for children 16-years-old and under, with nearly 25 percent of those children having received simultaneously one or more of the 18 vaccines that Merck did not study in combination with GARDASIL. NVIC is calling on the FDA and CDC to warn parents and doctors that GARDASIL should not be combined with other vaccines and that young girls should be monitored for at least 24 hours for syncopal (collapse/fainting) episodes that can be accompanied by seizure activity, as well as symptoms of tingling, numbness and loss of sensation in the fingers and limbs, all of which should be reported to VAERS immediately.

"Because Merck only studied GARDASIL in fewer than 1200 girls under age 16 in pre-licensure trials, it is critical that doctors and parents be made aware of the nature of the initial adverse event reports coming into VAERS and that they report serious health problems after vaccination when they occur," said NVIC President Barbara Loe Fisher. "There are twice as many children collapsing and four times as many children experiencing tingling, numbness and loss of sensation after getting a GARDASIL vaccination compared to those getting a Tdap (tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis) vaccination. There have been reports of facial paralysis and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. And doctors who give GARDASIL in combination with other vaccines are basically conducting an experiment on their young patients because Merck has not published any safety data for simultaneous vaccination with any vaccine except hepatitis B vaccine."

I don't care about M. Malkin or your opinion on Perry.

It's pretty obvious that you don't care. He's your Governor, and it doesn't bother you that he's been messin' with Texas. Fine by me, just keep him there, and don't try to tell me that he's a conservative candidate.

Pardon me for getting sick of this repetitious spam on every Perry thread.

You guys in Cali got NO ROOM TO TALK. That's why you sent reps to Texas to find out how we do things...'cause you're clueless.

Seems our reps found a way to get around that opt out thing. AB 499 is being voted on the week. This allows girls as young as 12 the right of medical consent, completely bypassing parents. Aren't our pols clever? I've already called my State Senator's office, and thank goodness, he's not a RINO and is against it. If it passes, it's expected that Gov. Moonbeam will sign it. Now, if Moonbeam signed it and then decided to run for POTUS, would you be telling everyone you could about it?

Regardless, the Gardasil issue in NO MORE, it NEVER happened. ADIOS! We said NO and he listened. Sounds like the fruits and nuts in your state WILL let it happen.

This is what I was actually talking about.
