SarahPAC: Setting The Record Straight – Wrong & Misleading

Posted on August 22 2011 - 11:33 PM - Posted by:

SarahPAC released the following statement:

Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24-hour news cycle and that all Americans will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.

PS – Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight and including Governor Palin’s own words.

Here is an excerpt from the CNN article by Peter Hamby referenced above:

Here she is, in her own words:

Q: When is a good time? Do you have a timeline?

Palin: I have said that that August/September timeframe is important for logistical and legal reasons to jump in there, but…

Q: So by next month?

Palin: I think that just practically speaking that has to be kind of a drop dead time. Also, in fairness to supporters, who are standing on the timeline, and this is what I have told Todd over and over again, I don’t want to be seen as or perceived as stringing people along, asking supporters, ‘Oh don’t just jump in there on someone else’s bandwagon because I may jump in, so hold off a little bit.’ That is not fair to them. After another month or two goes by, they need to know who it is that they can jump behind. Now more than ever, everybody has got to get involved in this 2012 election. They need to get out there and campaign for their chosen candidates, its all the more reason to hurry up and decide.

A few moments later, there was this exchange:

Q: Will you know by the next time you are here in Iowa whether you will be in, over Labor Day?

Palin: I doubt it. By the next time I am here by September 3? I don’t know if within the next couple of weeks I will be ready for an announcement or not.

Q: So the end of September is no longer a viable deadline?

Palin: No, he was asking about my next visit here on September 3, if I would be ready for an announcement September 3. And I said I don’t know if I would be ready by September 3.

Q: So the end of September would still be your timetable?

Palin: That is still a possibility for a timetable. Yes, definitely.

I extend an invitation to all Sarah Palin fans living in perpetual anticipation - in constant angst - to get behind Rick Perry.

Rick Perry will be top of the GOP ticket and he will (with great joy and fun for him and for us) clean Obama clock and pack state houses and the Congress with large GOP majorities.

It's a very good feeling and you are welcome and encouraged to come on board.

A huge weight was lifted when I stepped away and reassessed my devotion to Sarah. I admire her spunk but now it's Reality Heights time -- sanity test time.

This isn't about her, this is about conservative ascendancy and getting that guy who is destroying our lives, the country and the world shown the exit.

We, with Rick Perry, will be doing that in 2012. It's great getting behind the guy who is already taking it to Obama and driving the Left insane with his surging poll numbers and fast-track candidacy.

Come on over and join in the fun.

August 17, 2011 (Greta’s Fox News show) Sarah Palin said she’s still contemplating whether to jump in or not and then told Greta, “you don’t need a title to make a difference or hold office to make a difference - I am proof of that as are millions of other Americans” — wants to explain to other Americans how we can all be apart of the solution - empower individuals, not wait for government to do it for us.

This was at the Tea Party Express rally in Reno, NV last week (Go Sharron Angle!). The lady in the cowboy hat with the sweet smile is my wife Sheila. And that’s Syncro’s left eyeball in the upper left as he focuses his video camera.

Sarah was introduced to me by Sal Russo (leader of the Tea Party Express) who introduced me as Jim Robinson from freerepublic.com. She said thank you for all you guys have done, then leaned forward and gave me a little cheek to cheek hug. I took it as she loves the FReepers and pass it on to all of you!!

Woo hoo!! FR is Palin Country!!

No you’re not. You’re trolling Sarah Palin threads. Support your candidate and stay off Palin threads with your Perry posts. Members can find Perry threads all by themselves.

You’re not fooling anyone with that post of yours.

It’s rude ans not clever at all. This is an information article for Governor Palin supporters, but you knew that.

“I admire her spunk but now it’s Reality Heights time — sanity test time.”

Yep. Need to work on getting someone that we can actually elect. A politician - someone that can work both sides of the aisle. While the “Mr. Smith goes to Washington” is a nice idea, we need a more conventional politician.

Perry may be an okay candidate - I really don’t know that much about him. Other than it seems he’s the same as usual. The same as usual is what has gotten us into this mess.

I’M TIRED OF THE SAME AS USUAL.

The typical, “electible” politician.

It is time for a revolution in America. And if we don’t have a revolution in the sense of electing someone that will really shake things up - I fear that the next revolution won’t be about elections.

I don’t troll Sarah Palin threads.

As a matter of record, I’ve posted news articles and composed supportive vanity Sarah Palin threads for years, up to and including the MSM e-mail dump and her bus tour into New England.

Now I am encourageing other Palin supporters to look at Rick Perry as an option.

I didn’t know Sarah Palin threads were open to only Palin for President supporters.

I totally agree it is over the top rude to do that. I once thought Perry would be a good VP for Sarah, but since learning about the real James Richard Perry,I am thoroughly disgusted that I even ever thought in that vein. Yikes!!!

I was polled by Quinnipiac on August 1, and it was a multiple choice poll which took exactly 11 minutes and 19 seconds. I believe it was one of those polls that generally takes about twenty minutes, but I am fast, informed and very decisive. Just since that Poll I have been sickened by some of the info I have learned about Perry, but I will not link or repeat any of that info because I do not want the rats to have it from this website. I am sure they already know what I found out anyway.

If you liked GHWB or GWB particularly on illegal immigration, you’re sure to like Perry. And then you have to ask yourself, just how electable will another governor of Texas be just 4 short years after GWB? Me thinks the democrats and obama are salivating at the very THOUGHT of running against President Bush...AGAIN!

.....Yep. Need to work on getting someone that we can actually elect. A politician - someone that can work both sides of the aisle.........

Rick Perry has fought both parties.

Rick Perry started as a Democrat in West Texas (that was THE only party). He served in the Texas legislature - was known as one of the "pit bulls," conservative members who sat in the lower pit of the House Appropriations Committee and bitterly fought spending increases.

Perry changed parties in 1989, joining Phil Gramm and other conservative Texas Democrats, who now had a true ideological party with a burgeoning Texas GOP.

When Perry campaigned for Lt. Gov. [1998], he and his campaign staff were in it to win and his hard-nosed style was against the "friendly" advice and request of GWB [in re-election bid for Texas Gov] and Rove to run easy against Sharp, a popular democrat (and Aggie friend of Perry's from their A&M years together). Rove wanted to broaden Bush's base for his upcoming White House run. Perry told them where to stick their advice, because he knew the voters would vote for Bush for Gov. and then cross back over and vote for Sharp (D) for Lt. Gov, if he just walked through the motions like the Bush-Rove team asked him to do.

Perry won the seat for Lt. Gov. -- the first Republican elected to that office since Reconstruction. Now 13 years later and into his 3rd term as Texas governor, the GOP holds a super majority. So Perry has earned his conservative spurs -- fighting both parties!

[The Bushes and Rove supported Kay Bailey Hutchison's primary challenge against Gov. Perry this last election too]

Rick Perry is fighting the EPA, Big Education and Lawyers. That's a damn good place to start (and he's been at it for years).
