No, she is spinning. The Vaccines for Children caused the vaccine to be free of charge.

The Executive Order actually made it easier than it had been - due to legislative actions during the last session and regulatory creep - to opt out.

What is happening with all our 'conservative' women? Anne, Laura and now Michelle, etc, they seem to be moving in the wrong direction lately!!

The government already had this vaccine available free of charge for eligible children before Rick Perry's bill [with an opt out]. A number of Freepers have posted that they got the innoculation for their daughters with no ill effects.

People may not be aware that very young Junior High School students are engaging in oral sex because they consider it 'safe'. I have even read of it happening in Elementary schools. They are in danger of contracting the HPV virus.

Jan 14, 2010 – More than 40 types of HPV can be passed through sexual contact. ... in the mouth or throat of a person who had oral sex with an infected person. .... There is NO CURE for the virus HPV.

LINK

According to new Canadian research, more than 75 percent of sexually active young women have previously engaged in oral sex.

I recognize Harold V. Dutton in that picture. What bill was he signing?

*Everybody* is going to flame me for this one, but I just have to say it: None of these candidates really impresses me all that much. In fact, now I know how the Rats must have felt in 1988 when they fielded the “Seven Dwarfs.”

In that Jesus H. Christ isn't running...I guess you are somewhat delusional. We are a nation of over 300 million and you expect a candidate to fit your wants 100%. America is not your Momma...grow up and eat what is put before you or don't complain if you don't clean up your plate and later find out you are hungry!

I’m not disappointed that no candidate agrees with me 100% on all the issues. I’m not so stupid as to expect that. What disappoints me is that they all seem a little, shall we say, weak, as in no “presence” or charisma — more GWHB than RR, if you know what I mean.

YOu shouldn’t be flamed. All of these candidates need to know there’s a consequence for their actions, if for nothing else, than that they know we’re watching them very carefully. It’s a new day, and a warning for the rest of those in office, and those thinking of going there. I was estatic when Rick Perry got into the race as none of them grabbed me either. I guess old tried and ture Ron Paul would be left in the process of an elimination. :)

RR wasn't all that awe inspiring for the most part at the onset. Try Rick Perry...he is an ass kicker that takes no shitte from anybody...most of all the administration and the Eastern Press Pukes.... Try it you will like it!

I don’t know the stats on previous rates of cervical cancer vs more recent ones. Who did the screening etc., and how big is the reality of this cancer, and what part does contraceptives play in it, if any. I remember reading a few years ago of a similar mandated vaccine causing over a hundred people to develop narcolepsy in Finland. The government should keep its nose out of parental business thereagain this is the future because of Obamacare. We must fight it now, not only for ourselves, but other countries whose vote doesn’t count anymore. The EU legislates over 90% of new laws without any input from the people.

I outlined the timeline of this vaccine in another post - there just wasn’t enough time given for long-range side-effects so we don’t know what harm it would cost as opposed to any who are actually getting this cancer. I posted a few article from doctors who worked on this and that’s very, very roughly their end conclusions.

Yes, I know what you mean about our conservative women but I still have trust in Michelle Malkin perhaps because she’s a first generation immigrant and remembers what it’s like in her old country. I understand because I’m from Europe and visit it often. They’ve lost their sovreignity and if we don’t give due diligence on our candidates we’re in huge trouble. That being said if Perry gets the nomination, I will, just like the last time with McCain, vote for him over Obama. This country will never survive another 4 yrs from that specific narcissistic psychopath.

“RR wasn’t all that awe inspiring for the most part at the onset.”

****************************

Ronald Reagan was inspiring from the time he gave the speech in 1964. You don’t know what you are talking about.

Your boy Perry was a Democrat opposed to Reagan. Was still supporting Al Gore after two terms of Reagan Now he is trying to pretend that he is the second coming of Reagan. Perry must be a slow learner. or a fraud. He appears to be as phony as a three dollar bill. This gardasil scandal stinks to high heaven and it is only the tip of the iceberg for Tricky Ricky.

Perry’s platform: Open borders, Outreach to radical Islam front group CAIR, the tool of Hamas (which is dedicated to the destruction of Israel), doubling state spending in Texas during his term (which was already swollen by Bush)and sacrificing pre teen girls on the altar of cronyism.

He is gonna get clobbered. Michele Malkin, Dan Riehl, Mark Levin...Everyone is getting wise to Perry. The Establishment hates him. The TEA party conservatives won’t buy his schtick. He is soon to be a man without a constituency.

No one could possibly believe that a Father [Perry] would deliberately try to endanger other children.

I know a young woman who had the genital warts and they have to be removed each time they reappear or they can become cancerous. Women are supposed to get a PAP test each year - so cervical cancer is not rare.

I remember a time when the smallpox vaccine was mandated and people did die of it and many got the smallpox and were disfigured. It happens. But in the end, Polio and Smallpox have pretty much been conquered except in remote areas of the world.

When my son was one year old and received a Polio vaccine shot, he wouldn’t try to stand up the next day! It was frightening and the doctors checked him over thoroughly.

I just hate seeing this being used as a tool to impugn someone, who probably thought they were making a good decision.

You remind me of how Boehner said he felt when dealing with Obama, you too are a blob of Jello, I just can’t seem to get a bead on you as you keep slip sliding around. Every time I nail down one of your mis-statements or outright lies you keep changing the target. In any event I’m finished trying to understand your point since you are all over the place. Try to have a god day down at the basement of your campaign headquarters.

It's not an issue for me any longer. Why it is for some of you dullards is beyond me.

Nor I. I've already gone ahead. Moronic statements usually speak for themselves, re: #24. Now where was I?

Even in 2007, we had over 5 years of published data concerning the HPV vaccines.

The Governor, in this very EO, made it easier for parents to opt out after the Legislature had made incremental changes impeding parental consent.

Bob

I’m not trying to bait you.

Who do you suggest we support? I’m not saying we need to follow BObK like a lemming, but really?

I like Cain. No one knows about him.
Bachmann doesn’t have executive experience.
Paul’s loony.
Santorum, Gingrich. No chance.
Huntsman, Romney make Perry look like Rush Limbaugh compared to their rino-ness.

Who? And didn’t devolve into fantasy about current non-candidates.

WHO can win the nomination and beat Zero?

The Perryistas are finding it harder and harder to distort his record in an attempt to make him look like a conservative.

Government has NO BUSINESS mandating a vaccine for a disease which can’t be passed from student to student while sitting in a classroom.

Not unless one is trying real hard to establish a nanny-state way of ruling and there sure seems to be some of those kind here on FreeRepublic and are pushing a candidate who has an established track record for doing just that.
