PERRY: WHY I SUPPORTED AL GORE...

In an interview with an Iowa radio station on Monday, the Republican presidential contender explained his role as the Gore campaign’s Texas chairman by saying that “this was Al Gore before he invented the Internet and got to be Mr. Global Warming.”

But in fact, global warming was already a significant theme for Gore in 1987 and 1988 — long before his activism led to several books, a Nobel Prize and a part in an Academy Award-winning film. It was also well before the right gave him the "Mr. Ozone" nickname and talk radio heaped endless mockery on the future vice president.

There was a time known as “before Gore was a scumbag”?

While he was still in the womb?

Yep. Looks like people would learn about leftist propaganda. Propaganda a little truth and alot of spin. You will not get a guy with a 100% record you like. Obummer is not what the left thought he would be. Maybe if ya’ll give him a 2nd term he will become that and pack the USSC at the same time. Sounds like a fine plan to me. There is not ONE of the Republician candidates that match me 100% and some are just un-electable no matter how much you like them.

Considering who his daddy was, even in the womb he would be a huge NO.

Social conservatives really liked that “PMRC crap”. Tipper was fighting for their children not to be exposed to raunchy, explicit stuff.

So you're OK with children having unfettered access to the unedited versions of Hip-Hop, bitches and Ho's?

Even Mr. Heston of the NRA fame was a Democrat at one time. People can and do change. Even Saint Reagan was a Democrat. I might add and FDR Democrat. FDR for goodness sake. The worst President on domestic issues EVER.

Perry: “Sure I’ll give you my view on the issue. Which one would you like to hear?”

“I do hope you all realize the Perry bashing through many of these articles is coming from the left is too get us Romney as the nominee.”

Not working on me. As much as I can’t stand Perry (having to endure a decade under him here in Texas), I’ll still vote for him in the Primary, if Romney is the only other choice.

I’m OK with parents doing the job of parenting instead of the government.

Back then the big thing was the ozone layer depletion. A lot of republicans were worried about that as well.

The warnings were not censorship...they were tools to advise parents. Like movie ratings.

The whole South were hard core Democrats for a looooonnnnngg time. Has to do with that “War between the State’s” thing. Things have changed over time.

“There is not ONE of the Republician candidates that match me 100% and some are just un-electable no matter how much you like them.”

The same logic that got me to vote for Bush-41 in the 1980 Primary. It went that Reagan was a REACTIONARY EXTREMIST who could NEVER get elected.

I fell for it then, I won’t fall for it again.

The bottom line is that the 2012 election is simply a referendum on Obama...an up or down vote. Right now, even Ron Paul could probably beat him.

There is no perfect candidate and Perry is not who I would like to see the nominee, but this country is dying and we need someone who can beat obama and the best shot is Perry.
Bachman, Cain wil never beat obama and Palin will fall short if she runs. If obama gets a 2nd term, we are finished - just imagine what he will do when he doesn’t have to worry about being elected

I voted for Andre Marrou in ‘88. I considered Bush Sr. to be the anti-Reagan.

From an email I received.

"Did everyone know that TX Governor Rick Perry voted for Jimmy Carter in 1980 against Reagan and then voted for Mondale in 1984 AGAIN against Reagan? Seriously? And he voted for Dukakis in 1988 against GHWB? Ummmmmm........"Houston, we have a problem!!!!"

"Look it up! Rick Perry is not what he is presenting himself to be."

Rick Perry Hurt Little Girls!
