Republican anti-gay marriage lawmaker arranged tryst with male teen

An Indiana lawmaker and gay marriage foe has been roped into a gay sex scandal after he was reportedly caught responding to a Craigslist ad.

The Indianapolis Star reports that emails suggest Republican Rep Phillip Hinkle offered Kameryn Gibson $140 for 'for a really good time.'

Mr Gibson had posted a Craiglist ad that said 'I need a sugga daddy.'. According to the paper, Hinkle, 64, responded 47 minutes later from his personal email address, that said 'Sent from Phil's iPad':

'Cannot be a long time sugar daddy, but can for tonight. Would you be interested in keeping me company for a while tonight?'. The email offers 'to make it worth [your] while' in cash, and offers a personal description: ‘I am an in shape married professional, 5'8", fit 170 lbs, and love getting and staying naked.'

But when they were in the room together, Gibson changed his mind when he realized the man he was meeting was a state representative.

Mr Gibson said Rep Hinkle wouldn’t let him leave, saying ‘You need to do this, because I came and got you, and I'm not taking you back until we do what we need to do.’

Scared, Gibson called his sister Megan to pick him up. When Gibson tried to leave a second time, he said Hinkle again wouldn’t let him, so he called Megan again and put her on his speakerphone.

When she threatened to call the cops and the media, Meghan said Hinkle offered to 'give you whatever.' After hanging up, Mr Gibson alleges that Mr Hinkle grabbed his buttocks, dropped the towel he was wearing and sat naked on the bed.'

When Megan arrived later, he gave the siblings his BlackBerry, iPad and $100 cash to keep them quiet, they said.'

If you act on homosexual impulses, you are not moral. What you do in private determines your character. Demeaning, destructive acts are always evil, whether adultery, rape, stealing, etc. Homosexual acts are evil because they are selfish and idolatry and mock God’s and nature’s teleological design. Just because their is an “urge”, you do not act on it, unless it is moral—never if it is nihilistic. That is always evil and goes against nature.

This Clintonian idea that you can expect goodness out of immoral people is false. If they do do something “good” it is only because it profits them somehow....their intentions are never good —always selfish and self-serving.

Moral individuals would never use other human beings for lust or immoral purposes, and if they slip, they would be truly remorseful and try to avoid the behavior in the future. Private morality determines character....this man obviously is devoid of character. To corrupt children is the sickest sin of all.

The more perceptive ones comprehend that if it’s sex they are satisfied with, they get more kicks and less grief running wild. If they entertain an even larger malice and want to “punk” society, then they go for the farce called “gay marriage.”

Zactly.

If true in the details, this is right up there with the IMF German guy in NY. Otherwise, it is more like the “wide stance” guy in the rest room, Craig? If the Gibsons are telling the truth, then Hinkle is an incredibly stupid, arrogant SOB for not just telling the guy, “OK we have a misunderstanding, goodby.”

Proof positive that not all queers believe in same sex “marriage”.

Something doesn’t quite add up here. Why would he give the kids his BlackBerry, with all of his contact info, e-mails, etc.?

From the details it isn’t clear that Hinkle involved, or believed he was involving, a legal minor. Hinkle might have actually gotten in far more legal trouble had he offered the young man (some are saying 18) a beer!

Of course the devil is behind such twisting of human function. It is a kind of addictive cruelty or bullying. The lasting answer for relieving such sinners of their sin (harsh punishments can suppress outward behavior but not the willful thoughts that Jesus called equally guilty) is to root and ground them back in the love of God, and teach them how to use the shield of faith to put out all the flaming arrows of the “evil one.”

That was my first thought! It sounds like a robbery gone wrong. Something else was going on here. Maybe it was the girl, rather than the guy, Hinkle was after? Who knows?

Politicians need to have term limits. Once they feel safe in a ‘lifetime’ career - corruptions becomes second nature to some of them.

Excellent point!

It explains why scientists should switch from lab rats to lawyers. There are things lab rats won’t do and who is going to feel sorry for a lawyer anyway?

That was my first thought as well, Kameryn sounds like a girl's name and "Suga Daddy" is an older man to a younger female. There is something here that just doesn't pass the smell test.

...where is the outrage by the gays that this 18 year old and his sister were very likely preying on men caught up in a gay encounter and subject to blackmail.

The "R" after his name says it all.

I agree. I would like to hear the representatives side of the story. It sounds like an extortion/blackmail scheme to me.
