Gingrich was good, and good with a strategy that almost never succeeds - going after the moderator. Bachmann is best on the stump, and while she is usually pretty good in these forums, she was thrown off by Pawlenty, who went from ineffectual to disagreeable. Perry was of course smart to stay away. The real race is Perry v. Romney.
The real race to be McCain #2 is Perry v. Romney.
That’s what I thought at the time. And like you, still think.
...it is what it is.
“You’re gonna put what in your mouth?” - Name that movie!
SARAH PALIN 2012...I’m still hoping she jumps in.
Granted anyone is better than Obama, but the choices we have are truly pathetic. I like Santorum, but I don’t think he has any chance,...not enough people like him.
Perry, Romney, Huntsman, Newt....all RINOS. Sure they talk a great game and Newt really sounded great last night. But it’s their walk that does not match up with that talk. They can’t be trusted. Would they get us back on track, possibly. But I’m sure they’d serve THEIR purposes first.
As for Cain and Paul...I like them and they are right on most issues. But I don’t think they’d be great leaders. Cain kind of lost me with his “islam” statements and view points and sometimes he comes across kind of condescending, IMO. Although I’m sure he could get us back on track economically, look what he did to Burger King and Godfathers Pizza!!! At least he has that. Just not sure about the other issues with him.
Paul is great on domestic issues, but foreign affairs...no frakkin thank you. End the Fed - HELL YEH! Go back to the Constitution - HELL YEH!! But thinking Iran is not a threat or that there aren’t muslim extremists that want to KILL US, not sit down and make nicey nicey, is delusional at best. I agree we shouldn’t be meddling in other countries, and I agree the only Nation Building we should be doing, is here on our own damn soil. But we sure as hell should be protecting OUR interests, wherever that is. So, if that means we attack someone else to do so, then so be it. NO ONE is for war..that’s just stupid. But we MUST protect ourselves HERE and ABROAD. I don’t think he gets that and that puts us in danger, IMO.
Bachman is great, but every time I watch her, I think she gets weaker in her arguments. She didn’t come out of that debate so well last night. It’s like she repeats the same lines over and over. She doesn’t seem as strong as we need for a leader, IMO. But I still like her.
I don’t know...tough choices....I just hope we get a conservative who cares about this country and fixing the mess we are in and SAVING THE REPUBLIC AND OUR FREEDOM!!!
“And BOTH he and Herman are far superior intellectually to the Wan.”
So is my Pug.
Oh please, I want Obama out as much as anyone here on FR, but I’m not happy with current crop of Republican candidates, not those on stage yesterday and not Perry.
We need someone who can give Obama run for his money, as of now, I don’t think he’s loosing sleep over these challengers. Of course, any of these guys is better than O policy-wise but like I said, we need someone who can actually WIN the election.
Obama is Jimmy Carter’s 3rd term alright, but none of these are Ronald Reagan, not even remotely close.
Wow. GOOD point.
They want us to submit to them in a very non-Biblical sense (i.e. obey), but reject submission in a Christian marriage, because they have no concept of what it is, and that it requires the mutual respect of two spiritual equals.
In other words, they are all mixed up!
Sorry if I don't believe that someone who signed on a few days ago, and attacks the entire Republican field, who are all being very hard on the punk-traitor, is anything but a troll.
The anti-Christian left will pummel her with what she said about submission, and she's already addressed the issue.
Very well, I might add.
I still think that Michele answered the question well, and I know that Sarah would have too, if it were asked of her.
The left doesn't understand willing submission in marriage, first to the Lord, then to each other, but they got a chance to hear about it, possibly for the first time last night.
I agree that Rick was clearer and firmer on values issues, and I was impressed by him last night, and I agree that Cain was strong, and that Newt is bright, but has crossed the ideological divide too often and the moral divide.....well, even once is too much for me.
I hear Monk I didn’t watch Fox news debate I too busy watching my future LA Team San Diego Chargers LOL!
Nobody denied her except herself.
Trust that they never let up on Christian values....never....!
Professor Limbaugh’s takes on last night’s debate seem strange. I’d like to hear Adjunct Professor Levin’s take.
I would be pleased if the panels just asked INTELLIGENT questions!
Maybe it’s because he saw the last part before he saw the first part, and got confused. ;)
