...but I need to look at an alternative and start supporting somebody soon if she's not going to decide soon. That's where we are in the primaries and I'm not the only voter who feels that way. This is not just a normal election year. This nation has many serious problems. Rush Limbaugh had said a couple of months ago as a reply to a concerned caller:

And I have to paraphrase...

"I have no idea why Palin and others are holding out. Maybe some republicans do not see how serious the situation is. Perhaps they do not understand how badly America needs a voice now. Maybe (and I hate to say this) they are using poltical stragedies to help their own campaign by waiting and doing that they are putting politics above America by waiting for the best time for them to announce rather than consider what is best for America."

That's where we're at now.

Yes, I'd totally watch a debate moderated by the Great One.

I bet the ratings would be spectacular also.

“We keep trying to take down the good ole boy network, but it’s so entrenched it seems hopeless.”

That’s how the G.O.B. network works...

You make the locals SO DEPENDENT on you for their livelyhood and jobs that they don’t DARE vote you out, and others crush your opponents for you, in return for future favors.

Only ONE potential Candidate in this race has stood up to, and taken down a GOB network. Any guesses who?

I watched Evan Bayh come in to office as Gov of Indiana, and rip apart the GOB network and political favoritism of BOTH parties, and I’ve seen it done in the early 80’s in my own hometown.

It simply takes someone with the stones to do it, who isn’t looking to simply replace one network, with another..

And the President of NBC Entertainment, Jeff Zucker, won’t be writing Obama’s speeches this time around.

Obama’s a good talker
_________________
I strongly disagree. I think he is a terrible speaker. He is good at reading speeches written by others from a teleprompter. When he is off teleprompter he stutters, makes stupid gaffs and says things like “My Muslim faith”, “ My father served in WWII” ( but if Gramdpa is really his father that could be true), “I visited 57 states” ..... I could go on an on.

Ron Paul is the man who ignited the fire, creating the Tea Party.

Please explain how Ron Paul ignited the fire that led to rise of the Tea Party. It's a bottom-up, grassroots movement, created by the people and for the people.

In my opinion, his stance about America's place in the world are opposed to the mainstream views of those comprising the Tea Party. America and Israel have a very special place in the world, exalted over all other countries. From what I've heard over the years from Congressman Paul, American Exceptionalism isn't part of his lexicon. He appears to think that America is just another member in the world's nations. I think that's at odds with the strongly pro-military attitude of the Tea Party.

Paul seems to think that peace as the absence of conflict. Instead, I believe that most of us supporting Tea Party principles define peace as a powerful America with unsurpassed military might. The other countries may not like us...but they'll respect a triumphant America.

Well let’s assume he will improve a great deal, you know, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I see no harm in that theory.

I’d loved to see him lose.

I wish Rubio would run!

_______________
Palin/Rubio dream ticket, BUT we have to find out if Rubio’s parents were both citizens when he was born... but since Obongo is in, I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.

Yup.

Chris Wallace was just a little bit on the _itchy side.

I cheered Newt tonight. It was a great debate moment.

“I have no idea why Palin and others are holding out. Maybe some republicans do not see how serious the situation is.”

Or maybe someone is crazy like an Arctic Fox....

In case you haven’t been following the news today, The Euro Bailout plan basicly fell apart, and Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Italy have declared a ban on short sales of big banking stocks effective immediately.

Remember what what happened to US financials after the September 18, 2008 SEC ban on shorting????

Meanwhile, BofA got a back door 1/2 billion dollar bailout today, through already-bankrupt Fannie.

Her timing may, in the end, prove to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, especially as the Shorts ban will fall off about Aug 26. You don’t want to be ANYWHERE near a financial stock that day, unless you are shorting it, big-time.

“Paul is certifiable. He favors nuclear proliferation. He is nuts.”

His “policy” on Iran is truly insane. He actually compares them to the Soviet Union! He doesn’t know the first thing about radical Islam, global caliphate, Ahmadinejad the Twelver or any of it (nor does he care to learn). Bless Santorum for trying to passionately prove him wrong. But Paul’s bullies in the audience boo’ed him and idiot Wallace cut him off - unfair. At least Herman Cain picked up where RS left off, trying to correct Paul. Shortly thereafter, when Paul’s again spouting off - about how terrorists deserve Constitutional rights - he tells Wallace “please let me finish!” and Wallace DOES. The audience boo’ed because it was so wrong after Santorum’s same request had been denied.

“I love what he has to say about the economy, on that he is just wonderful. But he knows NOTHING about foreign relations or national security and that is utterly frightening.”

Some other candidates understand the economy without all the scariness of RP. We have to have a President who knows who (and what) our enemies are and who our friends are. RP’s also an anti-Semite and we’ve already got one of those in the WH.

Get off your arse. Go to a Tea Party meeting. Learn for yourself.

As for me, and so you know, I agree with most of RP’s principles. But, he is wrong about the threat of Islam, and especially the Islamic State of Iran.

For this reason, I could never vote for him. Otherwise, I might.

You're actually hurting Palin more than helping with those claims.

I would not vote for her if that were true.

I have to convince myself it is not.

I must believe that if Sarah Palin thinks her message may be able to save the market from a crash now, she would jump in.

I must believe that if Sarah Palin knew she could help America by giving it hope with promises to make it better with her policies, she would do it now.

I refuse to believe that she would take advantage of bad things that will happen before she announces.

Sorry, Sarah Palin is not a Clinton or a Pelosi. She loves America much more than that.

“Santorum defends the sanction policy that he worked on in the Senate.”

Santorum has spoken out on radical Islam many times and I wish he’d been allowed to finish his chastisement of Paul and his idiotic pronouncements on Iran. Herman Cain’s also on the right track about Islam, he just needs to read/learn more details to argue it well.

“Hope he drops out. I’d feel safer with Hillary Clinton as President.”

Maybe, and that says how really dangerous Paul is. Because HC’s been pro-Palestine, anti-Israel since her college days. But like Bill, she IS a pragmatist and is aware of American sentiment.
