It’s Going to Get Ugly for Obama
COMMENTARY ^ | August 10, 2011 | Peter Wehner

Posted on 08/10/2011 12:26:57 AM PDT by RobinMasters

According to Gallup, “Americans’ economic confidence plunged to -53 in the week ending Aug. 7, a level not seen since the recession days of March 2009.” The survey goes on to report economic confidence deteriorated even faster in July and the first week of August than it did in June compared with May. “This plunge in confidence contrasts with the relatively flat trend in 2010,” according to Gallup. “It also places consumer perceptions of the economy in the range of March 2009 during the recession.”

In addition — and not coincidentally — the president’s job approval rating has dropped to 40 percent, tying his low from a week ago, and his disapproval rating is now 50 percent. It’s only a matter of time before Obama’s approval rating sinks below 40 percent, at which point the rising concern among Democrats will turn to panic.

They understand the enormous wave building against the president and his party. They saw what it did in 2010. They know what it might do to them in 2012. And there’s just not much they can do to stop it.

It’s going to get very, very ugly–very, very soon.

Me personally, racist, extremist, homophobe, xenophobe islamophobe, etc are so worn out. I would prefer being labelled as DRACONIAN. That would have a special meaning to me because there is some Slavic and Hungarian ancestory in my family. Heck, for all I know, good old Vlad the Impaler could’ve been a distant cousin or even a great grandfather of mine. So for me, being called Draconian has a sentimental ring to it :-)

I hope Obama keeps making speeches. Every time he blames someone, mutters "uhhhh", turns up his nose like a snobby diva, pouts or scolds he loses followers.

There is simply no way he will be able to fire up any remaining base he has left. The best he can hope for is a luke warm crowd of people looking for handouts.

His campaign rallies should be hilarious! "Uhhh, I uhhh need you to still have hope in all that change I've been working on. Fist bump? Anyone? Round of golf?"

Obama would get 45% of the popular vote even if there were some scandal (as if Fast and Furious isn’t one already) that calls into question his fitness for public office.

That would be a good change. It's been ugly for the American people for 2½ years now.

"There will be no way he will get re-elected next Fall."

He has two chances:
1. Very Slim.
2. NONE.

Unfortunately, this is August 2011, not 2012. Many things might happen between now and then.

The Wisconsin results will help fuel these fears. However (and/or, in addition):

Yes. He could kill a puppy with a hammer on live TV, every day until November 2012, and still be secure in 45% of the vote. Those people want their check, and they don't have any use for morals or scruples.

You forgot Abu Bilbo Teabaggins, the terrorist teahadist. They’re coming up with so many names, it’s getting hard to fit them all on one T-shirt.

I predict another diversion, something that will take the MSM and whip them into a frenzy.

Like a manufactured assassination attempt?

Just guess we will have to wait and see, all Obama has done is nothing but diversions.

There’s a metal group named Draconian. If you’re into metal you may want to give a listen.

Be careful and remember, he still has the “amnesty” card he can play and that should help push him back up where he needs to be to survive.
