Tuesday, August 9, 2011 11:40 PM: Tate: 'Dark cloud' hangs over Waukesha Co. results

State Dem Party Chairman Mike Tate accused Waukesha Co. Clerk Kathy Nickolaus of vote tampering in her 8th SD wards in a statement released by the party.

"The race to determine control of the Wisconsin Senate has fallen in the hands of the Waukesha County clerk, who has already distinguished herself as incompetent, if not worse," Tate said. "She is once more tampering with the results of a consequential election and in the next hours we will determine our next course of action. For now, Wisconsin should know that a dark cloud hangs over these important results."

Update: At 12:30 ET, News 3 in Wisconsin calls the race for Darling. The GOP retains control of the senate, 17/16, with two shots to increase that advantage next week. After months of agitation over the collective bargaining law, the supreme court election, and now the recalls, they haven’t regained control of anything. Now they have to go for the big prize to try to redeem themselves.

DUmmies going NUts over the Waukesha clerk again. They want Eric Holder to go to WI to investigate. BTW, I would love to see a photoshop of the infamous “Investigate All 88” pic to have a map of WI to replace Ohio and to change 88 to 8.

Congrats to WI for holding the line tonight.

There's still an opportunity next week to replace Democrat Holperin with a TeaParty candidate (Kim Simac) in a majority Republican district.

Lots of great Freudenschade DUFU material developing over this but right now too tired to DUFU. Keep in mind that "Investigate All 88" graphic with the revisions I suggested in post above.
