CNBC just broke in and told the audience that the President has requested airtime and will speak to the nation at 1300hrs EST (12 noon central, 10 AM PST) on the US national debt downgrade.

CNN: “President Barack Obama presented a reassuring assessment of the U.S. economic situation Monday, calling the country’s problems “imminently solvable.”

Man, Obama's water bucket must be getting really heavy. You would think that CNN's arms must be getting tired of carrying it.

I can't believe it took his speechwriters a whole weekend to write that empty piece of drivel that Zero so pathetically delivered. No substance, no resolutions, no affirming confidence. What in the world was it about?

And then, as an AFTERTHOUGHT he makes some hollow comments on behalf of the SEALS who were murdered. They deserved more than some comment slid in after a speech about the economy and the S&P downgrade.

OMG what a foul creature we have in the WH. He is totally removed from having any empathy or concern about the people in this country.

Agreed dragnet2. zer0 is in, way over his head. If reporters try to ask questions after a speech like zer0 gave, and then zer0 walks out, like zer0 did. I believe this too is telling America certain things, as well as the reporters. Something to the affect of zer0 saying, Don't question me, I know what I am doing! and probably zer0 does know what he is doing. Wonder if the reporters will catch on?

Fox saying that Omama announced he was going to speak caused things to continue to go down....then as and when he spoke they caved more. All are saying his speech hurt the markets....shouldn’t have spoken.
