You’re an optimist. For me I am tired of our side having to act like church ladies all the time....
The USC is totally silent on the issue of secession. It is not unconstitutional. Fact.
You are then agreeing with my approach, that is, sue to leave. There is no clause that enables secession which was my point.
Going to try your hand at gardening, lol?
It feeds on the process. Unless you are absolutely prepared to stand up to death squads for someone you have never met the gun thing is an idle threat. Are you willing to put it all on the line for the guy three miles away who is being hauled off in cuffs this morning for having to many guns?
I heard the stories firsthand, my grandfather was born in 1870, great grandfather ran away at age 14 and enlisted in the NC 21st, trying to find his brother. They hadn't heard from him in months. He was gutshot, died a prisoner of war in Point Lookout, Maryland.
Be prepared to raise or grow what you eat. Be prepared for "outliers" who will attack and steal and sometimes just destroy because they don't have it. Be prepared to bury your dead by hand in a pine box, marked with a rock.
For decades.
I'm not goin' anywhere - AND I'm passing it along to everyone I know. Here's hoping 2012 is just another stepping stone.
Having children forces one to be an optimist. ;-)
I have kids too. Let this mess be on me and not them...
Lots of canned goods going into closets, ammo being acquired and cleaning/maintenance kits right alongside. It will get ugly, but hopefully it will be a few weeks of chaos with some semblance of civil order restored (by law-abiding gun owners and not martial law which would spell the possible end if Uncle Sugar decides to do a New Orleans on us and start confiscating to “preserve public order”).
This article crystallizes for me what needs to be done, starting now, and culminating in 15 months. We need to continue to apply the pressure in all areas. We need to keep up with the letters to the editors and congressmen, writing comments on all the blogs, going to political meetings, talking to relatives and changing minds-—etc. My local group of AFP is putting on gas protests—where we protest the high cost of gas and Obama’s energy policies—at local, busy gas stations. Now is not the time to get weary or slack off. The Progressives are hysterical with our power right now and our command of the American people’s attention. Now is the time to deliver the coup d’grace. I intend to redouble my efforts and watch them gasp their last breath.
Welcome to Texas, fellow patriot.

Universal truth in revolution. The best organized side wins.

When the temp goes below 100 for a day or so ;)
We also have the foundation of our culture and values on our side. No matter how the much noise the left makes, they are still a small minority of malcontents. And the economy, jobs, etc. sucks just as much for them.
They're running scared, real scared and we all know what happens when you corner a wild crazed scared animal in a corner. Yes indeed, be ever vigilant and careful.
Our kids and our spouses are in danger, too. Short of turning our homes into armed fortress with barbed wire perimeters, .50 cal turrets on the roof and sandbagged firing positions, it is going to be hard to keep them safe.
