John Kerry: Media Has "Responsibility" To "Not Give Equal Time" To Tea Party

SEN. JOHN KERRY: "And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it's exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual."

I'll say this more politely than you deserve, John Kerry - go screw off. Your totalitarian opinion regarding the First Amendment and the Tea Party is not appreciated in the United States. Perhaps your anti-free speech dogma would fit in with the 'ruling elite' of North Korea or Cuba, but not in the US.

The Tea Party is the most effective force today for responsible government budgeting and accountability and should be applauded for its efforts so far and encouraged further in the future.

Thanks for the update. As it turns out, I have both Jewish and Irish ancestry.

I think immigrants are drawn to recreate in America the political dynamic that existed in their home country. The ancestors of many Jewish people in America came around the start of the 20th century, at a time when their home countries were inspired by Socialism. They wanted to advance Socialism here, and have since stayed with the democrat party and pushed it leftward. Kerrey and his ilk are Socialists by an accident of history, like geese that follow a tractor because it was around when they hatched.

More recent Jewish immigrants, mostly directly or indirectly from Russia, tend to be far more inspired and impressed by America’s traditions of economic and political freedom. I wish some of these people could run for president; their children will doubtless try. Knowing what their ancestors went through and what motivates them, I’d be strongly inclined to give them my vote.

He is probably afraid of the upcoming eligability problems and the trials for sedition and treason to follow. He helped pass off Obummer as a real person.

What a pompous ass. It’s shocking that in 2004, he was almost elected President.

“Do they recruit idiots or produce them?”

Whatever the answer, the descent of Harvard into Marxist hell is recent. Harvard, in the past, has not been reactionary nor communist, as evidenced by Harvard’s Memorial Hall. About half the stained glass at Memorial Hall honors those who fought in America’s Civil War.

This is from Harvard’s Memorial Hall website:

“Date: 1900
Type: American opalescent
Funded by: Class of 1865
This window commemorates those who surrendered their lives in the War of the Rebellion. This window shows left, “Honor,” sending forth an armed warrior to battle. On the right is “Peace” welcoming him in his civilian clothes with a wreath. There is no commemorative inscription; however, the two halves most likely refer to the members of the class who went to war (honor) and then returned home (peace).”

Harvard had many honorable men during that period who fought and died for what they believed. Their honor and duty can be understood by anyone. They were warriors. The windows represent the classical education these men received from Harvard in the 19th century.

That classical education has been lost. Kerry is proof of that. Kerry is not honorable nor a warrior.

Here’s a link for anyone who wishes to check out Harvard’s Memorial Hall.

Glad to be useful. :-)

I coined that for Bubba after hearing Carvile's comment about "dragging a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park" about Paula Jones. American liberals are the most misogynistic cretins on the planet next to Islamo-Nazis.

Right now, we are sitting here with our grandsons watching "The Point," the Harry Nilsson animated feature narrated by Ringo Starr.

The little boy, Oblio, was the only person in the Pointed Kingdom who had no point on the top of his head and he and his dog, Arrow, were banished to the "Pointless Forest."

The "law" required everyone to have a point and Oblio did not meet the legal requirements of citizenship therein and the Evil Count argued successfully in court for Oblio's banishment.

Memo to John Kerry from the moral of that movie: "You don't have to have a point to have a point."

Every person has a point even if someone doesn't think he or she has a point.

Isn’t that windbag a big proponent of the fairness doctrine to force talk radio to give “equal time” to the Leninist position?

Rank hypocrisy is so common that it’s hard to stand out, well done John Kerry, you did it.

Thanks Impy. Media has responsibility to cover the news, and not give airtime to the party-line windbag John Kerry.

“Rank hypocrisy is so common that it’s hard to stand out, well done John Kerry, you did it.”

And don’t forget the multimillion dollar yacht he keeps docked in RI, so he can avoid the MA excise (property) tax on it.

“Pompous ass” doesn’t even begin to describe this POS.
