The day the military burned the Bibles to appease the Muslims was the day I realized we had lost this war.
We are not fighting FOR anything in Afghanistan. We may be fighting against some insurgents, but in the end (and not too distant future) Afghanistan will once again be ruled by Islamists that hate America. Right now it is ruled by Islamists that tolerate America (as long as we don't bring our bibles or our beer).
This makes me sick to my stomach.
And, yes, politically, of course.
Lord, have mercy.
Bring ‘em all home now!
As far as foreign troops, that's pretty much standard practice these days, bringing along ANP or ANA along with the missions. It's as dicey and double edged an option as it sounds, but it's very normal.
No. Count on it. Those guys don’t spill beans.
No quarter!
Obama, get the job done!
Osprey or Chinook?
I want 2 know where most of the blast residue is —outside or inside skin..?
How many ANA were on-board?
"Too many people in too many places are talking too much about this operation," Gates said, adding that the level of disclosures and blabbing violates an agreement reached in the White House Situation Room on May 8 to keep details of the raid private.
"That lasted about 15 hours," Gates said sourly.
The cascade of details surfacing about the highly classified event makes similar operations in the future "that much more difficult and riskier," Gates told reporters at a Pentagon briefing Wednesday.
"It is time to stop talking," agreed Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In a pointed directive to officials, politicians and the retired military officers often featured on cable news programs, he added, "Get off the net."
Members of the Navy SEAL team that tore into bin Ladens compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and killed the 9/11 mastermind had expressed concern to Gates about the safety of their families after the team had been identified publicly and officials from the White House, the Pentagon and Congress widely discussed the operation.

Hail to the yes. Ever watched that reality show on the Basic Underwater Demolition School? It isn’t like they can just train more - it’s HARD to find men who can become SEALs, even among the cream of the crop.
I might have, never seen it spelled that way, but it looks legit..........
You were all great men. Go with God.
>>>>This is simply getting rid of the hit man, so they can never tell who they killed and what went down.<<<<
Very interesting.
I hope the rest of em take the same attitude as the Marines did after the Fallujah incident...no prisoners!
What the hell were these people doing anywhere near Pakistan. They should’ve been home with their families on indefinite leave, if only as a security precaution.
This is awful on multiple levels.
Bingo!
Yep... and nobody will EVER convince me this was a coincidental accident. NEVER!
God rest your son’s soul.
IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly.... we need to get out of the middle east and let then to their impoverished lives.. what fool thinks democracy will work there??
