WARREN JEFFS TRIAL: State shows bed photos; Jeffs leaves court during testimony

Jeffs leaves court during testimony

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Warren Jeffs didn't want to be in the courtroom when the state presented evidence against him for the sentencing phase of his trial.

His former lead attorney returned to represent him while Jeffs was voluntarily absent.

So Jeffs, the leader and "prophet" of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, didn't see the pictures of the temple beds.

Friday afternoon the state revealed pictures of beds in the temple building at the Yearning for Zion Ranch, the 1,700-acre property in Schleicher County raided in April 2008 amid allegations that sexual abuse of children was taking place.

A former FLDS member, Rebecca Musser, testified for the prosecution Friday that she had received training before the temple was built about how beds in it would be used for sexual matters. She said what she had been taught about the presence of witnesses and someone to record the events matched what she saw at the temple outside San Angelo.

"We would learn the best ways to conceive children," Musser said about what she was taught was to happen at the temple.

.God says there are no marriages in heaven

- - - - - -
And they twist that verse (so do Mormons btw) to fit their theology.

The verse says “no taking and giving in marriage”, so they (and the LDS) respond with “that is why it has to be done here on earth”.

They don’t see it as no marriage, they claim it means no marriages performed.

Wife #19—if that is the Lifetime Channel movie I think it is, it’s pap. Pure sugarcoating. It shows SOME of the problems, but most are just glossed over.

Wow.....and so it does go. So many structure the text for what it doesn’t say rather than actually read the context and learn.....course most are spoon fed anyone I suspect.
What a mess. Hard to imagine these woman have found any contentment in their life but some seem to have done just that. But then abused woman generally are willing to settle for any bit of pleasure or signs of hope until the next happening...and that can play out for years.

Carolyn Jessop's memoir Escape will be adapted for the big screen, with Katherine Heigl attached to star and produce, Variety reports.

Jessop, whose testimony helped convict polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs, "was born into the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints sect.

At 18 she married a man 32 years her senior; at 35, she fled with her eight children."

Most of the attention, and rightfully so, is focused on the young girls who are being brainwashed into sexual slaves for the old male ‘leaders’. We should ask what happens to the ‘maternal’ instincts in these women as they mature and watch their daughters raped and their sons banished from the communities?

These communes are cults of destruction for both male and female children and all of the adults - men & women should be taken into custody and the children rescued.

These people do not believe in the same Heaven as we.

In their sick religion, each male will become a GOD and rule his own planet/world (wherever), and take all the wives they want with them, that is what they mean by the womans celestial heaven.

This is a very sick CULT, based on what they believe about the afterlife and how they treat their women, it is no wonder they attract so many men to their CULT. Hugh Hefner should be very jealous.

I have often wanted to ask one of these STUPID brainwashed women, "What's in it for you?", "Sex slave on earth and Sex slave when you get to that PIG mans of yours celestial heaven?", yeah, that be something alright, NOT.

I see not much differance between the FLDS or the LDS and they Muslims.

Not going to happen....they returned them to the mothers before....400 children to be placed otherwise is not an easy task for any agency. They won't arrest the woman...maybe fine them for abusing the welfare system...but they have attorneys to fight that.

Clearly this whole group has now and had no problem living off the backs of the American taxpayer.....and then they gave scads of money to Jeff-o so he could live high off the hog....literally. The children are simply their mealticket.......or shall we say trafficing from the womb to the money table?

Unfortunately the kids of course are innocent....very sad for them....like those in Afghanistan...it does seem.

Who could play Jeffs in a movie?

Maybe Steve Bescemi, that fantastic actor from 'Boardwalk Empire'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Or Christopher Walken Image and video hosting by TinyPic

They both have that 'creepy factor' going on

These are choices these woman made somewhere along the line. But from what I understand of abused woman they have little understanding of what choice actually is. They generally know only apppeasement to keep the peace as long as possible.

Additionally woman have a need for a sense of security in these cults.....coupled with their indoctrinations it’s a win win for the men...at least the older men. Actuallly it’s no surprise the young men are kicked out of the camp...I think the old ladies and the old men are the controllers. Everybody else is simply the grunts to feather their beds with. Typical of cults.

We have to keep in mind that polygamy remains a tenet of the mainline LDS denominations ..it was simply “suspended “ so that Utah could become a US state...

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young both had teen age wives in their harems. Sex is the heart of that religion

- - - —
Not at all. The men never help with support, that is what ‘bleeding the beast’ is for (welfare, food stamps, etc). Also the men get the money from whatever enterprises the women run, because they own it, women cannot own property in most of these groups.

The marriages for ‘time’ are because the women are property and designed to keep them in line. The threat of reassigning wives is to keep the men in line. It is all about control.

The attitude is described perfectly in this quote by early Mormon apostle Heber C. Kimball (counselor to B. Young). “I think no more of taking [another] wife than I do of buying a cow.”

Probably is. I never saw it. I did read the book though, it made some good points but the whole gay storyline was trash.
