Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said Tuesday there is "no risk" the U.S. will lose its top credit rating amid a new analysis that revised its outlook on American debt to "negative."
Geithner took to the airwaves of financial news networks to push back against a report Monday by Standard & Poor's that lowered its outlook on U.S. debt to "negative," reflecting political uncertainty over whether lawmakers will reach an agreement to address long-term debt.

I'm reminded of Barney Frank assuring one and all that Fanny Mae was "fundamentally sound" not long before TSHTF.
The best one can say for Timmy and Barney is that they are clueless to developing events, if we take them at their word. I don't take them at their word. I'm increasingly convinced there is something more sinister afoot with these political elite progressives.

Every single word from Geithner, Bernanke, Paulson and Greenspan was a lie. Every single word. They are paid lying shills hired to propagate the big lie that fits the coming socialist agenda. Every single word.

Wow, Obama’s bus trip through the heartland should be interesting. What does he tell people?
To: Nachum
People should be careful as to what they wish for. Geithner’s whole background is that of a man who can win trade and currency wars. Those trade and currency wars are inevitable. They’re going to happen.
