Thanks. I like his point that she wasn't in the wrong place, she was in the right place. She was doing the right thing. The gang member was the one out of place in this drama.
VDH always makes excellent points....but I do wonder if he goes to the true source of the problem—The Age of Relativism that is being force fed our children in the public schools—starting with John Dewey who kicked out the God-centered, Moral Absolutes. In the late 60’s, the media started to put out movies that underlined—”no right and no wrong” Postmodern worldview and it is becoming the “worldview” of all Americans. Right and Wrong becomes what ever a person wants-—”feel good, do it”.
This seeped into the legal system—laws became Unjust—morality was removed from our legal system by Oliver Wendell Holmes and his cohorts—Progressives/Socialists/ Marxists....they are all the same—moral relativists who want to destroy the belief in God because the belief in God only allows Moral Absolutes (unless it is a New Age god).
What to do?
Our legal system was based on Moral Absolutes which says there is
‘Right Reason according to Nature’. All laws that are Unjust—not based in Natural Law and “right” reason are unequal and unconstitutional.
That seems pretty simplistic—but it is not really-—Abortion legal? Can’t be—it denies an innocent life (doesn’t matter the place or dependence), so it is unconstitutional—like it was for hundreds of uears before the Marxists “changed” the intent and meaning of the Constitutution and redefined persons.....WHAT? Can’t redefine the words from the Document of the Constitution—then it EVOLVES—it will NOT have UNIVERSAL TRUTHS—the morality/language which is inherent in Natural Law Theory can never be “redefined”.
Wittgensteinian—Marxist do it all the time....control the words, you can steer the thinking—(pro-choice is really pro-kill) (Homosexual marriage is an oxymoron) (Cultures are equal....no, they really aren’t—it is to kill the idea that there is right and wrong—it is ok to cut off hands and enslave women) Diversity celebration is to kill unity—the only element which allows societies to flourish). Marxism: pit all groups against the others to destroy family and Christianity.
There is morality in the philosophy of the Founders—it is Moral Absolutes—Rights from the Creator. Natural Rights, a key part of natural law comes from “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. (Equal under the law). You can never divorce morality from law, or any human activity—like economics. It will become unequal—always has to be morally “Right Reason”. Cicero explains this ideal which underlies John Locke and Montesquieu.
Destroy Rule of Law—reward evil—and you change the morals of the children and families and create chaos and people hide and cower. Societies fall apart.
Gramsci planned it. It is all written down. Destroy the morality of children (Sex Ed and moral relativism) and you destroy the culture (chaos) —no economics can occur (stupid Libertarians) if you don’t have trust and honor and duty (why all Classics kicked out, can’t teach children truth and Virtue)—which can ONLY exist with moral absolutes. A people who believe in the same “Right and Wrong” and not Marxuse’s, “Feel good, do it” type of chaos.
You have to have ONE standard of Rules to play the game of Culture. Unity. Our Constitution is that EXACT FRAMEWORK that will work if applied. Otherwise, it is like playing a baseball game with a million different conflicting rules.....it can’t happen. It ends in fights and walk offs and quitting and killing. Always will....the Marxists knew it and did the Long March through the institutions of America, like they did in Europe. Kimball writes about it, as many others....in his Long March book. Why. To destroy Western Civ. so they can redesign man to be serfs and so the can control their playground and resources.
