Brett Baier on Fox News, interview with Gene Sperling
General framework of debt deal
Increase debt ceiling by 2.4 trillion
spending cuts of 1 trillion
Joint committee with recommendations for additional cuts before Thanskgiving
Okay I’m getting the idea that this Joint Committee will be the means to get defense cuts and /or tax increases in the near future.
Here’s my understanding what’s up for debate now.
Debt ceiling raised till PAST 2012 (a BIG victory for Obamer as this is what he wanted most. It’s always about him and not the country.)
Cuts only, a trillion first six months. 1.8 cuts rest of 2012. How to enforce? Across the board cut recommended by some kind of super-committee. If not coming to conclusion than an across-the-board cut automatic to include ALL parts of the gubmint, Medicare, defense.
Do I have the gist?
I take great pleasure in that Kerry is married to TAH-ray-ZA!
Thankyou, mewzilla....will read up on it after FOx is over.
With friends like Congress, who needs Islamists?
The long arm of Chicago politics. Indeed, disgusting.
Krammer SLAMMED Obama on scairing the country and foreign markets with shouting the house is on fire.
Anything the Super-bipartisan Congress committee does will be overcome by the election of 2012.
In fact, think of it!
All the posturing and preening NOW means nothing, if a NEW Senate is in the Capitol and a NEW President is in the White House.
2010 was a start. 2012 will either finish that start or it will be our end. I am convinced of this.
The other thing I am convinced of is that the economy is NOT going to get better. These means Obama will lose, or the voters in this country deserves what they get.
Actual facts are that the rating agencies are looking for 400 billion in cuts per year and if they don't get it my guess is we will become AA soon.
You couldn’t be more right. And, the fact that the dems have been lying about what the economy has really been doing since 2007 tells the story.
***spending cuts of 1 trillion***
*****which are NOT cuts, everybody. They are the canceling of the painting of the moon, as Paul Ryan stated on the House floor.
Spending is scheduled to keep going UP!
WE must talk to all of our friends about the PENNY per year proposal.
OMG...then Stphanopolis won’t be able to buy hair color!!!
did you get a look at that hair?
The Dems are going hysterical this morning...Their “mantras” are falling flat..this Plouffe is ridiculous...”they want their leaders to lead” HA HA!
Most of America will be shocked to finally learn and understand that a cut is not a cut, but only a reduction in increases.
Whoops, missed this!
We have Rod, we have!!! We've stood our ground. We own the Balanced Budget Ammendment that most people want. Sure it won't pass, but we tried. The dems HAVE TO BE the opposers of that.
People didn't want Obama care, the dems gave it to us anyway.
People want a Balanced Budget, even if it means we have to put that in the US Constitution. The dems oppose it.
See the pattern, anyone?
GOP should help the Rats spend the entire 2.4 trillion by Sept. 1, 2012.....in for a penny, in for a pound.
Fox Sunday - Bret reads a quote where obama says the country (economy) is on a good trajectory, then points out all the weak economic numbers.
Interview with Kevin McCarthy, R-CA, the debate is moving in the wrong direction. Looks like the framework could be there.
Bret asks McCarthy is Boehner can retain his leadership after these debates. McCarthy says Boehner has been a leader throughout this process while obama has been on the sidelines, complaining.
What is the next storm gonna do NN, inquiring minds.....
Yeah, but Kerry married up. Tah ray za would be an interesting first lady. (ha)
