Sen. Kyl, fine man he, says he DOES think the Tea Party is alot like.....TADA! BARACK OBAMA! I paraphrase “they become so devoted to their cause that they can’t see any other way.”

When the hell has Barack Obama ever been devoted to any cause besides his own re-election and the destruction of America?

He compares the Tea Party to Barack Obama? That’s going to go over real well.

Folks, they never mock the Democrats. They reach gently across the aisles with polished nails, they hobnob amidst the tinkling glass and muted laughs of Georgetown cocktail parties.

But who do they release all their anger and vitriol upon with such force that they never use on their opposition?

THEIR OWN DAMN BASE!!!!

I told you folks with my tales of Delaware to be aware.

Much as it pains me, I must admit I was right.

I would add the following:

Cut (in Washington parlance) = a reduction in the rate of growth of spending

ABC, interview mohamed el-erian, CEO, PIMCO - relief from passing this deal will be short-rated.

Effect of downgrade to AA rating - it will make us worse off. (Englightening!)

Agrees with Krugman that slowing spending at this stage will make economic growth weaker (I think that’s what he said)

That's probably true, especially if gov't spending has been the only thing keeping the economy afloat. But last time I looked, we're still BROKE.

You are probably right but I hate compromise with the left it always means we lose. I understand we only control one house and since that's the case we create a huge game of Mexicon standoff and looks as if we are loosing it. Making your argument A CNN poll has us,our side, as the cause of no debt ceiling agreement. It's biased I know but could be harmful.

After listening to Plouffe and DNC Dave here is approximately where we are.

The deal appears to be stacking up more or less like this. Initially, there will be a billion dollar deal, over ten years which means little or nada budget cuts first year, and then a super bi--partisan committee that will decide how the next 1.8 trillion will be cut,and we already know how god that works just having the experience, or automatic cuts come into play when the left is finally out of office.

Were we played again? Certainly looks like it to me.

Ploouffe and DNC Dave both played up the 60 hours until we suffer a financial collapse, such a huge lie I won't even go into it,repeat the lie and then continue with the usual class warfare we need, taxes not cuts etc. We really wanted 4 trillion but Boehner would not allow us to.... etc etc. Just more reasons why we need regime change in 2012.

Rush will probably say tomorrow we should have stood our ground since these guys don't have to guts to put a budget, debt ceiling or anything in print in black and white on paper and we will get the blame for anything that goes wrong anyway so why not stand tall.

The final bill awaits to be seen.

I just hope we don't pay a price for not standing up for the Penny, one cent plan which is the right way to go.

Omigosh, my sentiments exactly. Venting against Boehner has become hysterical and does nothing to solve our problems.

Those threads have become so nasty and pessimistic I need to pet my dog.

And speaking of PIMCO, their turn around on treasuries never got much media attention, did it...

-- dollars for dishwashers (I think he made that one up) ... --

I think there was a federal program that gave consumers rebates for buying "green" appliances. I don't think it had the same "you have to consign your old (clunker) appliance to the trash" clause that cash for clunkers had.

-- the entire range of stimulus packages simply have not worked. --

They have a short term stimulus effect, at the expense of future commercial activity.

As the government does less, there is more money (liquidity) for the private sector to do more, to hire more.

Maybe CNN did get those results but what I’m saying now by making such a big deal of this debt ceiling raise the dems and Obama have focused the public on to the economy.

They will now lose because their plans don’t work. As a matter of course, every day removed from Bush is another day more the dems own it, and that over 50% continues to erode. But this major fight by Obama means that the trickle of ownership jumps way up for them.

They really aren’t going to help the economy; only hurt it more. I believe that in my heart of hearts. And because I know that it is true, I think more and more—not less—will start to wake up and smell the coffee.

We’re both old enough to remember well what happened in the late 70’s into 1980. Reagan didn’t look so good in the early poll numbers. Yet Jimmy couldn’t win because as time went on, Reagan’s question, “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” took its toll.

It was true then and it is true now. And unlike Reagan, I’m also predicting the new Republican president (sure hope it’s Sarah!) will have a Republican House AND SEnate to do business with, while the dems and their media allies will be wailing and gnashing their teeth in the wilderness.

Bret Baer probably knows that the economy has been a disaster and the stats have been played, distorted ever since the dems came into power in 07. Rush said that all stats were “revised”(code for they had to tell the truth long after the acts happened)since 2007 a huge find for us if we ever use it.

Thanks for the pep talk. Your insights are valuable. Boehner worked really hard to get something in writing over to the Senate Chamber. That was a great accomplishment. We know that the numbers and words don’t really have any force - going forward ten years. God only knows what the USA and the world will be experiencing in 2021, and I am positive that no one in Congress or the White House even has a clue!

Oh, my goodness, I missed that one.

I was thinking about what you said (Obama not seeking second term) a minute ago. It’s obvious that the dems are disappointed in him.

But he would have to be persuaded to decline to run because any attempt to overthrow him would cost the dems their essential black vote.

Would Michelle give up the throne? Would Barry. He likes the power and the perks, if not the work.

...while the dems and their media allies will be wailing and gnashing their teeth in the wilderness.

Not in the wilderness, but in schools, American homes via TV and radio, social networking sites, twitter ( don't forget Zer0's plan to use this to "inform" the public) and prolly from loudspeakers strategically placed for best coverage.

Excellant analysis...If there is already a shift away from Obama and the Dems, it will get more so.

BTW, the Independents are NOT ideological, they are Pragmatic...they don’t care about trashing the Tea Party..they care about JOBS and their IRA’s and investments.

The statistics (Recent WSJ article) already also are that the Boomers ( former ‘hippies” and Libs) are MORE RIGHT AND moving there!
They will toss their Progressive agenda in a NY minute if their retirement money is worth less and their Medicare is threatened and medical rationing starts!

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): former Gov. Jennifer Granholm, D-Mich

Granholm, still delusional about how economic growth occurs spewing “investment” is the part Republicans don’t understand; and if I understand her other point was lower taxes are the cause for business going off shore

Jim Kramer is on talking about how business were scared into taking their money off the table[I”m sure he’s proud of his Democrat votes now...]
