Meanwhile, FReepers are calling him a RINO and a closet dem because he trying to limit the damage, knowing full well anything the House does will be spiked. It’s a no win situation. We need to see that because it is the truth. Conservatives are supposed to think things through and not emote like democrats!

Re the above. Two reasons for this, “A” is those here who are behaving as you say are purely stupid (as opposed to being ignorant of the facts) and cannot comprehend the reality of the situation, or “B” they are liberal plants here and I do not care HOW long they have been registered.
Take your pick, either A or B and there is no C.
You are sooo right...Obama may just get “sick”, after all he looks physically worse every week.
The Progressives and blacks had their first ‘black” President, and can easily go the “Obama was a Martyr to the Cause” mantra and shift tot he next Dem candidate whom Obama will endorse.
There was also “Moola for Mansions”....home buyer’s and weatherization tax credits

Kristol wants to see a Rubio-Ryan or Ryan-Rubio ticket for 2012.
[shocker]
[That would be a formidable team, but I doubt they have enough executive experience. But, neither did/does Obama.]
Good stuff. It’s tough to do the right thing in the face of opposition. But, it also pays to review news cycles. What we do today will be a distant memory a year form now or even 90 days from now.We need fearless Representatives in both Houses. Those who don’t cast their every vote based on reelection.
Their answers will make you laugh because they will be so ridiculous, then you will cry because they vote.
The victory that Republicans must strive for is to balance the budget now - something that is not even being discussed in this current debate. As this fiscal year comes to an end, the House must come up with a budget that is in balance, and they need to stick to it. And as long as it is in balance, it doesn't matter what the debt ceiling is. Financial markets will be pleased, and as bonds are retired, those dollars will suddenly be available for business ventures and other investments. The economy will immmediately rebound in spite of Obama and the Democrats. And America will know that it was the TEA Party Republicans that saved the country.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Jim Krammer is saying full faith and credit of the US is good during this period [ah, then why is Obama talking about not sending out Social Security checks on August 3rd, Jim? (Answer: Spending too much)]
LOL, gimmee a break!! “The dems are slick...”
The dems are not slick, they are very, very obvious. The population is by and large stupid and that plays to the benefit of those who live on deceiving others.
Agreed, we will own the show after the 2012 elections, rinos excluded of course.
PIMCO Officially Goes SHORT The US Treasury Market
From July...
Their answers will make you laugh because they will be so ridiculous, then you will cry because they vote.

It’s even wo4rse then that. They also reproduce through some failure of the Natural Selection process.
Kramer is a loudmouth bozo. No wonder Larry Kudlow gave him the dump.
Well AB, I hope you’re right.
Bear in mind that the Tea Party guys helped get this before the public eye. The pubs wanted a quick and dirty deal to relieve their anguish and fear.
Getting this kind of thing in front of the public...because frankly guys, I consider myself somewhat of a political junkey and I never even knew there was such a thing as a debt ceiling....is how the Democrats win.
And for the record, I don’t think that Boehner was against CCB as you indicated was my accusation in an earlier post. Frankly, I don’t think ANY Gop guy was against CCB; they’d have all been elated had it passed fairly.
But this was a bill that put a cap on the debt ceiling, cut spending dramatically and required a balanced budget. That bill was never gonna pass. I do think the Tea Party types, honing in on Michelle Bachmann for one, felt it was what their constituents wanted and nothing less.
The bill was, to Boehner’s and even the rest of the Blue Blood GOP’s credit (and I seldom give them any credit) put up and this too was part of getting this issue out in front of the American public.
But even a hardliner like me knows it was too much right now.
Maybe when we get the GOP prez, the pub House and senate in a couple of years.
We are always patted on the heads and told we must wait.
It gets old.
Cramer is referring to our paying the interest due on our borrowed money, Non payment of the interest due monthly is the only way a default will be initiated
You know the reality of it all.
Anything else is smoke and mirrors.
We cannot sustain the spending. Either spending goes down, and consequently services are cut, or the whole damn thing falls down.
The dems don't want services cut. So they try everything to keep it going. Their solutions are untenable, unless they cut services and rein in spending.
We are approaching the last crossroads. It is not with this debt ceiling battle, though. The crossroads we are coming to are November, 2012. If we continue on the same road then, we are doomed.
And then you'll all know why I chose my FReeper name all those many years ago. The greatest economic power in history, destroyed.
