I was just watching the short morning speeches on C-SPAN when liberal Mr. Cohen from NC (I think), was referring to the fact that conservatives are now opposing the raising of the debt ceiling; but they supported same when Bush was president.
He referenced the scene in "Blazing Saddles", when the citizens of Rock Ridge were asked by the new black sheriff for just 24 more hours to solve the crisis. Denied. Whereupon Sheriff Bart protested, "You'd do it for Randolph Scott." The citizens then showed reverence at the mention of that name, and capitulated.
“What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin’ on? I sent you here to get a little track laid, not jump around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots...”
“...these things are defective!”
Naw, he just used the “You’d do it for Randolph Scott” line.

The lady pictured is porno actress/nude model Robyn Hilton. She would now be 71 years old if she still lives.

That’s one of the funniest lines in the movie.....
I’m like you — when I was 9-10 years old, it was 1954-55, and Randolph had about 8 current movies — all good. I really loved the jut of his jaw. He was a Gary Cooper who didn’t mumble. Then, a few years later, he graced the screen with “Ride the High Country”, and was everything a man ought to want to be.
