Speaker John Boehner pushed his debt-ceiling bill through the House Friday night with the support of 218 Republicans. Here are the 22 no votes:
Justin Amash (Mich.) Michele Bachmann (Minn.) Chip Cravaack (Minn.)
Jason Chaffetz (Utah) Scott Desjarlais (Tenn.) Tom Graves (Ga.) Tim Huelskamp (Kans.) Steve King (Iowa) Tim Johnson (Ill.) Tom McClintock (Calif.) Mick Mulvaney (S.C.) Ron Paul (Texas) Connie Mack (Fla.) Jim Jordan (Ohio) Tim Scott (S.C.) Paul Broun (Ga.) Tom Latham (Iowa) Jeff Duncan (S.C.) Trey Gowdy (S.C.) Steve Southerland (Fla.) Joe Walsh (Ill.) Joe Wilson (S.C.)
CORRECTED: Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) voted YES on the Boehner bill. That was incorrect in the initial list. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has been added to the list.

True, Reid will mess with it, exactly as he and Boehner have been negotiating secretly. (some of the language in Reid’s bill is identical.) Both Rush and Mark Levin have been saying this is a setup.
and, when it comes back, all the Dems will vote for it.
they’ll just need enough votes to pass it. and Boehner will make sure enough “get their asses in line”.
...also, Mark Levin said tonight, that there were only 18 true “no” votes.
he said 4 “yes” votes, switched back at the last minute,
AFTER it was clear there was enough margin to pass.
(unfortunately, Levin said there was no way of telling who the 4 were...)
“If the Senate RINOs dont I truly believe it will be the end of the Republican Party.”
What Deal? They will not let the bill be changed? I would not believe that. Or is it something else you are thinking of?
Way to go, Michele & Chip!!
Thanks. That’s was my question. Those 4 may be even worse than the 218.
UGH! I think we can probably narrow it down...and should those 4 need to be shamed publicly.
How can you believe that is true? Reid has been absolutely silent to this point as far as anything concrete. So, when he guts the Boehner bill and sends it back, regardless of its content, the Tea Party is going to be demolished under wave after wave of propaganda, calling them terrorists, obstructionists, or worse.
Boehner has created a nightmare for conservatives by allowing CC&B to be tabled and then weakening its terms without ever demanding a counteroffer. What kind of bargaining is that?
It is difficult to distinguish the incompetence from malice.
I called my congressmans office when he announced that he would support the Boehner plan and got a decent explanation of it being a strategic vote.
When Reid kills this one it will be the second bill hes killed and it becomes increasingly tough to portray the republicans as holding up the process.

i sincerely pray that your congressman is correct.
in this case, i’d be very happy if Rush, Mark Levin, and others are wrong.
if they’re not, then we’re going to get screwed worse than tarp,
(Boehner said the same thing before the TARP vote. He said the exact same thing. He wasnt Speaker then but before the TARP vote in 2000 he said,
Its crucial. Were at a pressure point in the country where we cant let ideological purity stand in the right thing to do.)
and worse than the last “battle” Boehner fought,
when he got 60 billion (1 weeks worth) cut from the budget.
frankly, based on the track record, i’m not hopeful.
and the reason the debt agencies threaten to downgrade us,
is NOT because of the “ceiling” problem. its the deficit.
they’ve said so. if we don’t cut at least 4 billion,
we WILL get downgraded. and that will simply make the TRILLIONS we’re overspending now, cost more.
All I know is that my congressman has been quietly cutting spending and regulations since being seated so I can accept this vote.
After all he defeated the brother of tea party basher Tom Rooney in the primary.
The Hobbits Strike Back!
Already!
Republican senators consider backing Reid debt plan (RINOs Scott Brown & Jim Thune)

You are absolutely right on...
Beltway Elitist malice is my vote.
The vote jumped from 216 to 218 leaving 6 pubbies yet to vote. Two voted NO shortly thereafter and 4 voted NO at the gavel.
Somewhere in that 22 are 6 “sleepers.” The question is, which of the remaining 16 has the courage to let us know....or do they want to remain complicit in this deception?
In exchange for this weak bill from Boehner the RINOs are supposed to keep Reid from passing an even worse bill- by denying him cloture.
The RINOs can give Reid ‘something’, but nothing poison like raising the debt ceiling past the election.
Thanks.
Right, See post 29 and that was before the Boehner bill was past...
Mitt Romney sits on the sidelines. I think the leadership prospects on our side is pathetic.
I see Sarah stepping in very soon...
We need leadership... The president is not leading... to no one’s amazement.
The Boehner plan adds trillions to the deficit. Same stuff...different day. That’s why these 22 didn’t vote for it.
Unless one of the 22 tells the public who those 6 were, we will never know for certain. These 22 critters may have voted NO, but until we get the whole story, they all possess suspect loyalties....the 6 were “YEA votes in waiting.”
Boehner has hung tough on NO TAX INCREASE - to the point that even the Senate has dropped tax increase as part of their bill.
This leaves only the dictator in the WH insisting on more taxes.
What part of, if the bill has EVERYTHING we want in it this first time around - it will go NOWHERE and we get NOTHING, don't people understand.
If we get a good slice of the pie this time - we'll be in the game to get more...and if we get the senate and WH in 2012 - THEN the socialists will truly be in the back seat and on their way to oblivion.
I believe some of these 20 holdouts are doing so not solely on principle but, knowing the bill would pass without their vote, safely cast their no vote more for personal political credits -
flame away
we need to know how many and who voted no after there were enough yes votes to pass.
