Obama Rates Higher Than Boehner, Reid on Debt Situation
PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans are more likely to approve of the way President Obama is handling the negotiations to raise the federal debt ceiling than they are to approve of the handling of the situation by Speaker of the House John Boehner or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, although opinions about all three are more negative than positive.

Doesn’t matter. Obama is the only one of the three running for national office next year.
This hurts him the most.
Yeah right.
BS
More bs bs bs from gallup...
.
No surprise here. That’s what happens when you keep the hot potato in your lap so long instead of passing it on and let someone else hold it for a while.
This is really really really bad news for the 0 Dems. They have way seats, plus the WH, vulnerable in 2012
I guess they believe that Superman can clean up the mess made by Clark Kent.
Results for this USA Today/Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted July 27, 2011, on the Gallup Daily tracking survey, with a random sample of 1,007 adults, aged 18 and older, living in the continental U.S., selected using random-digit-dial sampling.
For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points.
Methodology and sample should be required when posting these worthless polls.
These cooked polls are more and more ridiculous.
This makes sense. Obama’s merely whined about everyone else while not sticking his neck out with a plan of his own.
Everyone else has details to like or dislike.
Yup. Despite the screaming and flailing and whining that 2012 is a choice, it isn't - it will be a referendum on Obama.
It's amusing when the leftists take solace in polls that show that Republican leaders as more unpopular than Hussein is. That may be true (mostly because many conservatives don't even approve of the Republicans), but it will be entirely irrelevant in 2012.
Don’t see how it makes any difference at all to America the Doomed.
I don’t care.
THERE IS NO MORE MONEY.
I and each of my kids , currently owe 92,000 dollars and that’s before any increase. Then add our annual taxes.
IT’S O-V-E-R .
To paraphase The Won: Since Boehner is the only one trying to clean up this mess, why are we criticizing the way he holds the mop? Neither The Won nor Harry “Passive-Agressive” Reid have picked up a mop, or even a pencil for that matter.
Oh, no doubt the polls are always cooked but I do believe this one is more accurate. This is being perceived as "Boehner's baby" because he's still got it in his lap. Should have been off his lap a long time ago instead of doing the bidding for the democrats.
This should be HARRY REID'S baby, not Boehner's. ENOUGH already!
Boehner has been played like a fiddle.
He should have leveled with the people from the get-go and admit the truth in plain english,
” My fellow citizens. When you sit down at the table and look at all your bills to find out you simply spend too much what do you do? Well, you say, ‘ honey, no more monthly stops at that 5 star restaurant anymore. No more chateau brignon and lobster. We`ll have hot dogs at the ball game instead. We`ll sell the second car and the boat’.
That`s what normal people do. They don`t say, ‘ Well, we`ll just get another credit card and not max it out but get it up to the 96% mark so we can continue keeping our 2 cars and eat fancy steaks’.
THAT is what we are doing in Washington. We are actually spending more and more. There are no reductions in spending, only small cuts in massive spending increases.
This is untenable and unsustainable. We are destroying the U.S. economy unless we actually spend less next year than we spent this year.”
Who cares? People will always give the president more the benefit of the doubt than they will Congress.
I mean, it’s hilarious, ain’t no one fixing a damn thing, but Obama not fixing it better than anyone else.
SO tired of this crap...
