Senator Crapo, Senator Risch, Representative Labrador, July 28, 2011 RE: The budgetary/financial crisis CC: Representative Simpson Im sending this letter to my elected representatives of Idaho at the National level. First, I am a 55 year old man who has worked my whole life. I have owned my own businesses and worked in industry for over 35 years, as an individual contributor up to Directing large operations for private companies in organizations of over 150 people and controlling revenue streams of over 250 million dollars, and as a business owner. I tell you this to let you know that I know how to manage money, how to make and achieve a budget, and how to control costs. The current debt ceiling crisis is manufactured. Our nation takes in more than enough to meet our obligations and our essential needs. This is clear. Individuals trying to indicate that we are in danger of defaulting, or not meeting essential needs are either woefully ignorant of our economic situation, or purposely fearmongering so they can pursue their own personal or ideological agendas. Well, I have had enough. I'm sick and tired of seeing my country so blatantly manipulated. I believe most others feel the same. I am contacting you as one of your constituents, and one of your many bosses. We hire you through the ballot box. My vote for you in years past has hinged on a relative few fundamental principles:
I watch to see who gets all four correct and know that if I can trust them there, it is likely that I will be okay elsewhere. And if not, the next election is coming. My vote for you in the future will hinge on your actions with respect to these budgetary, economic issues. It is no longer a time for compromise of any sort. Economically we are on a precipice and must turn around before we are dashed on the rocks. The very people most responsible for putting us here are determined to drive us off the cliff. I believe many of them are doing it with a will to fundamentally change our nation. Do no flinch are give in to their tactics. We know what is right:
Again, these things are straight forward and they are things we expect our politicians to not only hang their hats on, but to not compromise on. Hold up business rather than ruin it for the future. Finally a simple suggestion. Pass the following and destroy the progressive, liberal, socialist element that has been trying to destroy our constitutional republic for the last 100 years. THE US WELFARE REFORM ACT OF 2012Our founders understood human nature. Thats why the vote was only originally given to property owners, because they were the ones the government of that day had to fund the government and they wanted to make sure that the people only voted for what was necessary by those who were funding it. Make it so today and our nation will reform faster than anyone ever thought possible. Sincerely, Jeff Head ********** (email) |
Here’s mine to Boehner. It’s shorter than yours:
Boehner, go ahead and sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. Conservatives will vote out every Old Guard DC hack that supports your horrible, terrible, grotesque plan to dig us deeper into insurmountable debt. We will vote in droves during the ‘12 primary season. The more you threaten good conservative TEA partiers, the greater our numbers will be.
Go ahead and infuriate the base. We’ll get our say at the ballot box.
A FORMER Republican and FOREVER conservative
FYI...my letter/fax/email. I urge everyone to do the same post haste.
The law you propose is unconstitutional by way of the 24th Amendment.
Can I copy and paste your letter?
I’ve always wanted to manage $250 million in cash flow!
You bet...go for it.
250 million is not hard when you are a director over a majpor providers notebook/portable computer development.
Anyhow...go for it!
The change “ACT” to AMENDMENT and go for it.
Ooops, that’s “The”, not “The”
Time for lines in the sand and no quarter on fundamental principle.
Talk about fumble fingers...sheez! hehehe.
“Then”, not “The”!
There
The report that Boehner is threatening—threatening!—conservatives who are trying to vote their conscience and represent their constituents is about to make me blow a gasket. This guy has got to go. He cannot solve the problem; he worked hard helping to create the problem, and now he is working to preserve and protect the problem.
He has got to be primaried and defeated. Nothing less is good enough.
"Every poll I've seen shows that 0ver 60% of America wants spending cut and controlled. You MUST listen to us, for once."
I've sent it to every Senator and I'm working on congress now.
Well, either way I believe you would need the same votes in terms of the states, right?
Amending it...or adding a new one that did that to cut out this welfare conflict of interest would also address this.
Either way, this is, IMHO, clearly something that must be done. The libs/Socialists/progressive/Marxists are using it against the nation with a will.
Hi Jeff,
That letter should be an inspiration to all of us to write these clowns that we elected in good faith, fully expecting a strong stand against tyranny by our new crop of representatives. At best, they are a lukewarm bunch.
I just received a call from some friends in Kentucky to inform me that the GOP group that is working with Boehner are sequestering themselves tonight to seek God’s wisdom through prayer. We need to pray that God does answer them and that they will heed His reply.
Way to go! Rock on.
They need to hear from us in such overwhelming numbers that there is no mistake and that they dare not defy the voice of all of us who know what this nation was founded on and will not let it go down like this.
Amen to that! Prayers up!
I just tried to email my worthless Rep, Jack Kingston. He has disabled all his email contact forms/addresses. I kid you not. It would have been a wasted effort anyway. He is a hack’s hack, and was probably the first Rep to back Boehner’s bonehead plan. Still I wanted to unload. What a cheap creep. They aren’t Reps; they are rulers. We’ve got to clean House, and take it back from these [self-censored]. They’ve gone too far. All we can do now is hit them at the ballot box.
May all the RINOs go down in flames.
I live in SE Idaho and sent a similar message to our two Senators and Congressman Simpson. My message was not as eloquent, but it was succinct.
I got back two responses telling me why they needed to raise the debt ceiling to avoid catastrophe.
Very disappointing.
FYI...the time is now. Contact your reps and let them know enough is enough!
