They'll have to come back to you. DEMAND a REAL CUT in spending!! Do not under any circumstance approve a debt ceiling increase!! Instead, insist on real spending cuts NOW!! The country is bankrupt. Do not allow them to take us deeper into debt! It's time for the HOUSE to do its job of controlling the spending!
The federal government is bankrupt due to Obama's reckless spending. Cut up his credit cards and force him to quit spending! It's time to put Obama and company into receivership! Make them come to the House to authorize current payments on the debts as they come due so that we don't default. Do not authorize any spending whatsoever on discretionary items until the spending crisis is solved. Pay the obligated social security checks, the military, the interest and the required debt payments, but that's just about it until our fiscal house is in order!
Make no bones about it. We sent you to Washington for one reason and one reason only and that is to take control of our big spending, big taxing problems and get our economy going again so our our people can get back to work!! Do not let the DC ruling class sway you. Do not take your eye off the ball. Do not fail to do your job! Our nation's survival depends upon your vote!!
Tell Boehner to get HIS ass in line!! Cut the damned spending, already!!

I am all for smaller government, cutting spending, but my main concern is all this politicking being done which is putting a large stress on what assets I, as an individual, have.
You talk about fiscal conservatism, and I can guarantee you the average person here on THIS site is probably living in debt. I have more cash and cash assets than people who live a lifestyle fit for multimillionaires but in reality have debt up to their necks.
I can’t say what will happen to the economy should we default, but Im fairly certain it wont bode well for either the market of the dollar. In that case, I stand to lose alot, infact more than I would ever need to pay in repealing the tax cuts that we so wanted to keep and fought for. We want to solve this problem in only one way possible, basically have the cake and eat it too.
Personally, Ive already transfered most of my cash assets to a mixture of the pound, euro, yen and swiss franc. I am not interested in playing with this risky scenario and I won’t lie and say I know what would happen in case of default. Both sides are unwilling to budge, and saying “hold the line” is like playing a game of chicken, one which I personally dont wish to partake in. My family’s security means more than anything, and I dont take kindly when people (from both sides) are messing with that.
That's the thing, people can't take the hit and will certainly take out their frustrations on the political faction they blame. The Tea Party will get some and as a new faction will be less able to take the damage.

The Fed contract on America is up for renewal in Dec. 2012: which of course is no good to us. I guess Bambi would still be in power at that date?
The Fed's control is over US currency. Very well: breaking their control will require breaking their monopoly: - and so forcing the FRN (Federal Reserve Note) to compete. One step would be to do what what Hugo Salinas is proposing in Mexico: reintroduce silver as money.
The process of re-introducing silver into a modern money supply turns out to be surprisingly straightforward (see e.g. the following links)
Silver and Gold are the only Constitutional forms of money, and they are the way to break the power of the Fed. Once they become available for the settlement of debts, the FRN will be beaten back into its proper role (which is whatever the Free Market determines it to be, including its use as kindling).

It would appear that you will vote “YES” on the Debt Limit Bill.
You know as well as I do that this bill will do nothing - NOTHING - to reduce the mountainous debt we have accumulated. Rather, it will merely reduce the speed of its increase.
This is totally unacceptable.
Spending must be reduced by $4 trillion (with a “T”) IMMEDIATELY for there to be any hope for our children and their children to prosper in the US.
Please... cast your vote as if the future of Our Nation depended upon it.

Indeed. Carney recently stated that even the WH lawyers told Obama that was a non-starter.
Mark Levin is VERY against it and says Reid , McConnell and Bonehead will reach a deal.
