A shocking video has been released allegedly showing police officers tasering and beating a homeless man to death who they claim was resisting arrest.
Though the video is not clear, eye witnesses say the homeless man - Kelly Thomas, 37 - was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place on July 5.
His screams and cries for his father can be heard amid the tasering noises.

This time the police acted stupidly. Will Barak speak out since the victim is white?

Must have bumped their heads?
No, this wasn’t police brutality. It was murder. For those who reflexively defend the police, think about what would happen if anyone but the police did this...that’s right, someone would be charged with murder. Police aren’t soper-citizens, they’re subject to the same laws as the rest of usI or damned sure should be.
You are correct, he conflated two different police assaults.
This is the "snow" assault:
I am a fire lieutenant. Many years ago our home was raided by mistake by a swat team. Our close friends’ daughter was shot in the head in front of her children by her husband who was a police chief in our community. I have also had confrontations with the police while I have been on the job where officers have threatened to arrest me if I didn’t stop “interfering” with their work. It is impossible to justify what happened to this young man. So I understand deeply the frustration expressed here.
That said... I work with the police on a daily basis, and a large majority of the men and women police officers that I work with are very professional. I can also say that I have seen them perform many many acts of heart warming kindness over the years. The police I work with are mostly very conservative and are doing their best for the law abiding citizens in our community.
16 years ago which was attributed to the onset of schizophrenia
Yes, that’s the greatest home defense weapon. There are many different kinds of loads for those, too (including flechettes, where legal).
Very perceptive of you.
Pigs.
Not all.
Thanks for that Chad!
Yeah, that was 16 years ago, and has been attributed to the onset of his illness.
Question for ya:
Do you support these 6 large police officers tasing and beating this unarmed, 135 pound suspect to death?
this very quiet and polite, gentle and childlike, sweet, and never a threat person was convicted for assault with a deadly weapon.
It is also interesting and a contradiction that this very quiet and polite, gentle and childlike, sweet, and never a threat person who was sick and in need of care was homeless, even though he had a family including his father.
Something just doesn't add up there.
There is now investigations:
"Fullerton police Sgt Andrew Goodrich said that Thomas began to fight officers as they tried to search him.
He said: 'We don't know why he was so combative and resistant to the officers, but it took upwards of five to six officers to subdue him.
'Sometimes when we take people into custody who don't want to go into custody, we have to use force. It is never the preferred way of doing things.'
He said police are conducting an internal investigation into the officers' actions and the District Attorney's Office is conducting a criminal investigation."
I support that there are investigations. Once those are complete, then you can ask me more about it.
