With all of the spotlights on the high-stakes debt maneuverings by President Obama and Speaker John Boehner the last few days, few people noticed what Vermont's Sen. Bernie Sanders said:
"I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition."
This is political treason 469 days before a presidential election. Yes, yes, this is just a crusty old New England independent for now, albeit one who caucuses loyally with Harry Reid's Democratic posse.
But while most of the media focuses on Republican Boehner and the tea party pressures on him to raise the debt limit not one Liberty dime, Sanders' mumblings are a useful reminder that hidden in the shadows of this left-handed presidency are militant progressives like Sanders who don't want to cut one Liberty dime of non-Pentagon spending.
(snip)
Strong support among liberal Democrats for Obama's jobs record has plummeted 22 points from 53% down below a third. African Americans who believe the president's measures helped the economy has plunged from 77% to barely half.
Obama's overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.

Obama’s poll numbers have gone down - due to his base being disgusted with him. But if you watch the polls it all evens out about 50/50 so everyone will be focused on Independents.
I however think that the demographic that we should focus on is the people who don’t pay attention and usually don’t vote.
Just sayin......
Put a gun to my head and make me choose between her and Obama right now and I would not even hesitate to pick her. I have a good idea how bad she would be, but I KNOW how bad Obama is and any chance for improvement is better than no chance at all.
Yup....they will use the same reasoning that the right will use when voting for the "less than optimal" repub/rino/conser/tparty candidate. To wit:
"Well, at least he's black like me, and I'd rather hold my nose and vote for him over that "whitey" from the other side." (or words to that effect.)
...another 469 days...
Countdown clock!
Yup...see post #23.
Would be interesting to see a challenge made to the stain by another left winger....just for "poops" and giggles.
And they keep getting weirder and uglier ....
First time voters favored Obama by 73-26 percent.
They accounted for 11% of his total popular vote.
If he loses them, that drops his popular total by 8%.
They won’t be out in 2012.
We have seen this phenomenon before. Hussein gets too chummy with Republicans in the view of liberals and his “Strongly approve” percentage on Rasmussen has fallen to as low as 18% or 19% as a result. Then he’ll go to some lefty meeting and say all the “right things” and his “Strongly approve” will jump to 30%.
Those weirdos will end up voting for O’Bummer in large numbers no matter what. What else can they do? They are stuck with him.
That candidate if not a socialist but an old fashioned Democrat could turn out to be a good thing for the country.
This looks like an attempt to stiffen Barry’s spine.
America will never vote for something that looks like that.
Wow, she looks like some crazy witch doctor lady, fresh from a “crystals” conference.
I wouldn’t have recognized her at all if not in the context of this thread.
Not all people lie to pollsters. I got a call from a pollster a couple of days ago asking if I was going to vote Republican int he next primary here in Indiana, and I told him “yes”. He then asked if I was going to vote for tea party backed Richard Mourdock or Dick Lugar, and I didn’t even hesitate when I said “Mourdock”. He then told me he was calling for Dick Lugar, and asked what I thought was the most important issue in Washington today, and when I told him “the financial crisis” he seemed to like that answer, but then I followed it up quickly with “Second only to term limits.” He thanked me for my time and hung up.
Total waste of column space, but it's possible I s'pose...
And notice that while in the Senate, the Senator with the record closest to Obama was Bernie Sanders. -----According to the National Journal, which reported that the only Senator with a voting record to the left of Sanders was Barack Obama.
Welkl said!
the hildebeaste can no longer fit it all into a pantsuit. she’ll be wearing a moo moo to her inaugeration
I got polled by AP coming out of the 2008 election. I noticed she stopped checking her boxes after I said I voted McCain/Palin. ;)
I agree on the pollsters, but I hear a LOT of very remorseful Obama voters crying the blues. Who knows? Perhaps they need to suffer more before they learn. By then though it will be WAY beyond too late for the country.
Back in the primaries, I voted for her knowing she'd be easier to beat and if worse came to worse she is much more reasonable than he would be. He was scary and evil back then. Today, I'd still pick the witch over the devil.
This photo confirms that Hildabeast will not challenge obama in the primaries. The only place she is running to the nearest IHOP.
