Pro-Rick Perry radio ads hit Iowa
Politico ^ | July 26, 2011 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

GrowPAC, a group founded by former New York Senate candidate David Malpass, will air radio ads in Iowa urging people to write Perry's name onto the Ames straw poll ballot.

"President Obama is making things worse. We need a president who will stop this," Malpass says in the spot. "Iowa has a chance to turn things around for America. At the Ames Straw Poll write in Rick Perry, he can win and make America secure again. I worked for Ronald Reagan and I know how countries create growth and jobs. Let’s give Rick Perry a chance." The 60-second ads will air in stations in the markets surrounding Ames, officials said.

While Iowa GOP officials decided not to include Perry's name on the straw poll ballot, they permitted a write-in slot that at least makes it possible for Perry to register support. The write-in option is being allowed for the first time, and GrowPAC's Malpass made clear they plan to make the most of it.

Do you really think during a presidential campaign that his OPPONENTS are going to focus on the states rights issue when it sounds (and reads) like he is endorsing homosexual marriage in New York?

This puppy is going to come up a lot and the now toxic Texan better find a better way to counter it. That FINE quote is going to make one helleva soundbite against him. Rick Santorum already got him on it.

Some say Sarah ain't gonna run and Perry will. They got it backwards.

July 6, 2011: "..Ann Hettinger, Concerned Women for America's state director of Texas, was instrumental in convincing Perry to change his proposal to an opt-in provision. When asked if Perry's original plans for the HPV vaccine would be an issue if he were to run for president, [CEO of Concerned Women for America, Penny] Nance replied, “It would've been an issue IF HE HAD NOT FIXED IT.”

July 25, 2011 Concerned Women for America (CWA) added to Perry's support ".............."I am honored to be a national co-chair of The Response," says CWA's Penny Nance. She adds that members of her group nationwide "are invited to take part in whatever way possible, whether it's coming to actually be a part of the event, or just praying at home. We believe that it's just important that women of faith ... come together and pray for our country."

And in response to the opposition to the prayer event -- including the lawsuit filed by the Freedom From Religion Foundation that claims the gathering violates the religious freedom article in the First Amendment -- she assures: "We'll pray for them."

But she laments, "How far have we come as a nation from the early days of George Washington calling people to prayer, to today, where a governor calls on people within his state and people around the nation to come together in prayer and lawsuits get filed?" [end]

You are making it all up.

NO PerryCARE.

"The vaccine, Gardasil, is manufactured by Merck,
which was represented in Austin by the lobbyist Mike Toomey,
who was chief of staff for Mr. Perry from 2002 to 2004. "

2007
On 2/7/07, the WSJ reported that Merck was desperate for cash.
With estimates that the settlements Merck will owe for its Vioxx litigation
will amount to approximately $970 million, and the expiration of some of its patents,
Merck faces a huge cash flow problem.
But if Gardasil is mandated, Merck will generate sales of approximately
$1 billion in the first year alone, with 5 year revenue projections of up to $4 billion"

2007
In 2007, when Texas governor Rick Perry issued
an executive order that all girls entering the 6th grade
would receive Gardasil, parents were furious.
Some argued that the vaccine would promote promiscuity.
The order was eventually overturned."

" Critics rip Perry's vaccine mandate
Governor rejects opponents' calls to reverse order
AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry stood firm Monday against a political firestorm generated by his
order that sixth-grade girls be inoculated against a sexually transmitted virus linked to cervical cancer.
Social conservatives from Texas to Washington called on Perry to reverse his order making
Texas the first state to require the vaccine, saying the mandate makes sex seem permissible
and that parents should be the ones to decide whether to immunize their daughters.
And several Texas lawmakers expressed outrage at Perry for circumventing the legislative process. "

"RP65 - Relating to the immunization of young women
from the cancer-causing Human Papillomavirus.
Friday, February 02, 2007 o Executive Order
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
Rules. The Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner
shall adopt rules that mandate the age appropriate vaccination
of all female children for HPV prior to admission to the sixth grade."

The definition of mandate is a command by a person,
group, or organization (the 'mandator') to another
(the 'mandatary') to act in a particular way, or here
to ingest, inject, imbed a poison or other substance
they do not want and for which informed consent was
never taken.

BACKGROUND
There are over 40 Types of HPV, and 15 of them
have been linked to cervical cancer and/or genital warts.
Gardasil has been developed to vaccinate
against the 4 Types that have the highest
correlation with cancer and genital warts.
However, unlike the smallpox vaccine, for example,
Gardasil does not grant full immunity to those 4 Types of HPV.
Gardasil offers no protection against the other
11 strains of HPV that have been linked to cervical cancer. "

2009
Merck and the Gardasil Vaccine Show Us the Money
First there was the news that Gardasil sales had dropped by 16% in 2008.
As CNBC’s Mike Huckman bluntly put it,
“From the third quarter of last year to the fourth quarter
Gardasil sales fell off a cliff… Merck officials said part of the Gardasil problem
is that so many 11-18 year-old females have already been
inoculated that they're running out of new customers.
And the 19-26 year-old population continues to be a marketing challenge.”"

2010
The main problem with Gardasil seems to be the equivalent of a design flaw.
To be completely immunized, women have
to get a series of three shots over six months.
Many women don't.
The Centers for Disease Control reported in late
August that while 44% of teenagers received the HPV vaccine in 2009,
only 27% of them received all three doses of the shot.
Unfortunately, there isn't evidence to support
that getting only one shot effectively protects against cancer. "

2011
CDC: "As of June 22, 2011, approximately 35 million doses of Gardasil®
were distributed in the U.S. and VAERS received a total
of 18,727 reports of adverse events

As of June 22, 2011 there have been a total 68 VAERS reports
of death among those who have received Gardasil®."

"Foaming at the mouth, shock, seizures, paralysis,
coma-even death have been reported
as a result of taking the vaccine Gardasil from Merck ... "

"Gardasil Causes 400 Percent More Deaths than Other Common Vaccine
A federal report has concluded that the human papillomavirus (HPV)
vaccine Gardasil has a 400 percent higher rate of adverse effects
than another comparable vaccine, the Menactra anti-meningitis shot. "

I am not a Palin purist by any means and I am a Perry skeptic. Bachmann and Santorum are my two favorite candidates at this point. That said, Palin throwing her support to Perry would mean something. I do believe Palin is anti-establishment and my biggest concern with Perry is crony capitalism. Palin supporting Perry early on would ease that concern.

hocndoc:"It’s now recommended for both boys and girls,
beginning at an age
when they seem to have the highest immune response."

There are >40 Types of HPV, 15 Types linked to cervical cancer.
Gardasil works against 4 Types and
does not grant full immunity to those 4 Types of HPV.
Gardasil offers no protection against the other
11 strains of HPV that have been linked to cervical cancer.

Sexually promiscuous women (not chaste girls)
require three shots over six months

CDC: 44% of teenagers received the HPV vaccine
but only 27% of them received all three requisite doses.
There is no evidence one does even works.

Heads are going to explode when Palin throws her support behind Perry.

Really? How many heads exploded when Palin endorsed that other open-borders Globalist RINO, Juan McLame?

It's gonna be fun watching the responses from everyone making predictions about what Palin's going to do when she does the opposite.

She wont be his VP because that doesn't make much strategic sense. Rubio makes the most sense but I could see another Governor, perhaps a guy like Kasich or Walker, if they would do it.

you're right about that, first thing on this thread you've been right about.

VP, or UN Ambassador are so below her.

POTUS fits just right.

I read about that this morning. I like the GOP-education connection -- also a Perry priority.

Even Democrats are now alarmed about the state of education in this country but its too late because the GOP owns this issue.

July 26, 2011: “The Big Conversation”:

According to his supporters, and another new poll, Republicans are still clamoring for Rick Perry.

Politico reports that the governor — who will meet this week with officials from Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee and has two meetings planned with potential donors — seems to barely be keeping pace with supporters seeking meetings with him.

“So many people want to do these, we’ve had to add additional dates,” said Dave Carney, Perry’s chief political strategist.

According to Politico, the calls for Perry to enter the race only seem to be growing louder. One Republican congressman, Tim Griffin of ...

But......But......I thought Perry was a “Stalking Horse” for the GOP! It......It......was the GOP who kept him off the ballot?

This can't be. They have an evil plot, those RINO baby killing Mexi-loving, Gay marrying, open border, Elite Establishment, One Worlder, Drug pushing conspirators! Or, maybe they have this planned all along........so Romney won't have anyone taking votes away from him in the Iowa poll. That's it! (/s)

July 25, 2011: “A new poll from American Research Group shows Rick Perry leading a field of presidential candidates in Florida, followed close by Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann, who is top among tea party members.

Among likely voters, Perry — who has not yet entered the race — got 18 percent of the vote, followed by Romney’s 17 percent and Bachmann’s 16 percent. Fourth place went to Sarah Palin (14%) then Herman Cain (11%)....”
