Pro-Rick Perry radio ads hit Iowa

GrowPAC, a group founded by former New York Senate candidate David Malpass, will air radio ads in Iowa urging people to write Perry's name onto the Ames straw poll ballot.

"President Obama is making things worse. We need a president who will stop this," Malpass says in the spot. "Iowa has a chance to turn things around for America. At the Ames Straw Poll write in Rick Perry, he can win and make America secure again. I worked for Ronald Reagan and I know how countries create growth and jobs. Let’s give Rick Perry a chance." The 60-second ads will air in stations in the markets surrounding Ames, officials said.

While Iowa GOP officials decided not to include Perry's name on the straw poll ballot, they permitted a write-in slot that at least makes it possible for Perry to register support. The write-in option is being allowed for the first time, and GrowPAC's Malpass made clear they plan to make the most of it.

[July 25, 2011]...........Miner said people who know Perry understand that two things he feels strongly about are states’ rights and the institution of traditional marriage.

“Nothing has changed with the governor’s philosophy here,” he said.

Besides confirming Perry’s support of a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman, Miner pointed to the governor’s state record. Perry supported the Texas Defense of Marriage Act and a state constitutional amendment defining traditional marriage, Miner noted.

“Texas accounts for half of U.S. payroll gains in past 24 months”

— Economists explained the faster pace of jobs generation in the Lone Star state to high energy prices which resulted in more oil drilling activities, growing exports and the state’s conservative banking sector which protected Texas from a major housing crash.—

“....State officials pointed out that Texas’ higher-than-expected payroll gains is because of a pro-business climate that Perry created which drew companies from other states where the cost of doing business is much higher.”

And so it begins. It's great to see an outstanding campaign beginning.

During his tenure as chief economist of Bear Stearns up through 2008, the firm sought $25 billion dollars in bailout money from the Federal Reserve, and eventually the collapse of two subprime mortgage hedge funds led to the implosion of the company.[14][15] In December of 2007, Malpass rejected the notion of an impending housing-led recession[16] and in an ill-timed op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal, Malpass argued that the economy was sound, the credit crisis was contained, and the American economy was fine in August of 2007. Most people will focus on the States’ rights comments, don’t you think?

I’ll bet that there is a large number of people in the State who have A poor opinion of New York politics and voters as outside the norm, way too liberal.

Yes. He didn't cause it and everyone thought the same thing.

Too bad Barney Frank and Chris Dodd aren't in jail.

That would be quite entertaining. Then their heads would explode again when she’s not his VP.

The RINO Perry did not even have the courtesy
to endorse her back for President.

Suggests that the RINO Perry is another
stalking horse for Romney. By Rove.

She wont be his VP because that doesn't make much strategic sense. Rubio makes the most sense but I could see another Governor, perhaps a guy like Kasich or Walker, if they would do it.

I would love to see Palin as our UN Ambassador or even run for the Senate from Arizona, word is she just bought a house there and Kyle is quitting.

That doesn't jive with what he said last Friday and it is obviously a contrived political CYA anyway. His Gay Marriage in New York is FINE with him remark was honest in it's spontaneity.

He may have been referring to “states rights” but he did not say,”I am oppose to gay marriage and I think New York made a mistake legalizing it,but that is the Constitution and you have to take the good with the bad.”

No,he said,”That's New York, that's their business and that's FINE with me.”

“FINE with me” and if New York passed a statute that required kittens be tortured to death that would be FINE with him as well?

Answer yes or no—according to HIS words,is he against homosexual marriage in New York or not? According to HIS WORDS he was either lying then or he is lying now.

The Legislature had given sole authority to the Dept of State Health Services, under Perry’s control in the Executive branch, to mandate vaccines. The Dept. Mandated Hepatitis A and B, and chicken pox vacciines without legislative fuss. Perry used the order to make it easier for parents to opt out.

Besides, Gardasil is a good vaccine, ethically made in the same way insulin is produced, and very popular with parents and doctors. Over 35 million doses in the US, no deaths due to the vaccine, and well over 10 years of data showing safety and even cross-coverage for strains other than the 4 it is intended to prevent. We’re beginning to see a drop in abnormal Pap smears.

It’s now recommended for both boys and girls, beginning at an age when they seem to have the highest immune response .

The difference is that without the mandate, more people have to pay (Merckx) full price.
