12.07 Telegraph reporter Peter Hutchinson, who is in Oslo, reports that six men have been arrested in connection to the attacks:

I'm at an address in east Oslo where police are searching premises after conducting an armed raid earlier this morning. Officers are scouring the derelict building near to the capital's bypass in connection with the attacks on Friday. Neighbours reported that six men, dressed only in their underwear, wear taken away by police this morning.

Norway Police Arrest Six Over Terror Attacks

Norwegian police have arrested six more people following an armed raid launched in connection with the twin attacks that killed at least 92 people, Sky sources say.

Officers from the police's counter-terrorism force, known as Delta, swooped on a property in the east of Oslo earlier today.

Sky can reveal that police are trying to access two chemical containers at the address.

Police confirmed the operation but would not give further details or comment whether there were any arrests.

It comes as the suspect accused of Friday's massacre confesses to police that he carried out the killings but says he did not break the law.

Police said 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik also revealed to detectives that he acted alone.

Something that might be worth looking into is tax supported churches in Norway. I’m not finding a whole lot but it sounds like religions in Norway are given official designations and people officially register with them.

In 2005 approximately 76% of all infants were baptized in the Church of Norway. 1290 parishes have 9000 parish council members, 1400 pastors and 6200 other employees.

The Church of Norway is one of the few remaining state churches in the world today. Its long-standing episcopal order was supplemented by a synodical structure in the twentieth century. Parish Council members are elected by the church members. These councils in turn elect the eleven Diocesan Councils and the 86 representatives to the General Synod of the church. A growing number of pastors are women (19% in 2007) and three of the eleven bishops are women (2007).

The Sami people are a significant part of the Church of Norway. Since 1992 there has been a Sami Church Council. Its task is to develop Sami church life built on Sami languages and cultures.

The King is the constitutional head of the Church of Norway. His authority in this regard is exercised jointly with the government within the Council of State. Until 1989 most categories of pastors were named either by the Council of State or by the Government. Since then all pastors are appointed by the Diocesan Councils, with the exception of deans and bishops, who are still named by the Council of State.

Strong lay movements in the last two centuries, organized through domestic “inner mission” and societies for mission abroad, have shaped the Church of Norway by gathering groups under lay preachers in prayer houses.

It's like 95% Lutheran (I could be a few points off on that). And I think that, like Germany, a portion of the taxes goes straight to the Lutheran Church. Not sure if the small Catholic Church (only 20-50 thousand) gets any tax support or if Muzzies can direct their taxes to their mosques or not.

This is an interesting point.

According to Norwegian church law, Municipal Councils are obliged to finance a certain level of activity in the Church of Norway parishes. In 2006 the total grants from the Municipal Councils amounted to approximately NOK 1.9 billion.

In addition, the Parliament (Stortinget) granted more than NOK 1.2 billion to cover the salaries of the clergy as well as diocesan and central church administration. Currently - The future relationship between church and state is currently the subject of a broad discussion, involving both the church itself and the political parties. Any fundamental change in this relationship must be decided on by the Norwegian Parliament.

Spiegel Online has a photo. You can just see a little bit of the house but it looks like a shack., especially by Scandanavian standards.

..the perp admitted to the bombing and shooting but that he does not consider himself guilty of any crime.

..the perp gave himself up without a fight and had ranked (considered) his possible arrest as a 'transition to the propaganda phase'.

..the perp has a lawyer, but on Monday he will present his motive to the court himself. He also wants the session to be public.

... the perp told the police re the murders that he ranks (considers) his actions as 'cruel but necessary'.

Spiegel kept using einstufen when reporting how the police described how the perp viewed his deeds. einstufen means to rank, scale, judge, etc. I found that somewhat strange.

The Norwegian police are also saying that in view of the extent of the killings one has to doubt the perp's soundness of mind.

Nothing further about the 6 new arrests other than what has been posted already.
