I am being told that a possible leftist crackdown on what we would call conservatives has passed the talking stage...that the hard left has joined forces with islamists to stop the conservative movements in Europe and Scandinavia because they fear these movements are growing too fast, becoming too popular, and will force them out of power.

I'm still very unconvinced one guy could accomplish all that's been done without being detected. You need a network, support and cover to pull these things off. The same individual trying to accomplish all these tasks from procurement, to assembly, to placement all without detection and then execution so flawlessly would be nearly impossible.

I'm glad he's still alive. I just hope that he and this investigation are handled in a competent manner.

This reminds me of an incident that happened in NYC about 20 yrs ago. Badlands, a notorious gay bar in the West Village was shot up by some nutcasae. About 10 people were injured, miraculously no one was killed. The media went into a feeding frenzy when it was revealed the suspect was the son of an NYPD chaplain. That is until his mug shot was released and it turned out to be a Black guy. All of a sudden it was “nothing to see here, move on”.

Given his age it’s possible (but a bit later than normal) he’s had a first paranoid schizophrenic break, which took his apparently fairly mainstream and non-violent conservative political views and twisted them into an obsession against the Norwegian Labour Party; however, the level of his personal planning and organization in the attacks seems to be a bit unrealistic for the condition; however, there are always exceptions and outlier cases in mental illness.

Well said, and a rational voice on a day when such is in short supply.

I remember a largely forgotten case in the middle of the 20th century where a deranged individual saved up or created explosives and attacked a school with severe casualties. It also combined elements of insanity and long-term planning. Rare, but it happens.

I google mapped it and those were the options it gave me, a small island in the north, along the west coast of Norway. That seemed impossible to me, but with the media one can never know. Facts are changed, lies are told, facts are omitted, lies are given as facts...
