An arrest warrant has been issued for the manager of a Marietta McDonald's after she punched a mother of two autistic boys in the face, Marietta police said.
It happened at the McDonald's on Bells Ferry Road, police said.
The manager, Tiffany Denise Allen, told the woman that the twin boys service dog, Barkley, wasn't allowed inside, police said. Allen was off duty.
The law, however, states that the dog is allowed inside.
The boys mother, Jennifer Schwenker, said the incident took place on July 12 when she took the boys to the McDonald's to have lunch.
Channel 2s Diana Davis got her hands on a surveillance tape showing one of the twins and Barkley enjoying the restaurants play area.

Actually no they only have ther rigth to ak for the certification which the lady offered. It is no ones buisness why you need one.
A dog in a restaurant is not a problem as long as you don't let him crap on your Big Mac or pee on your FFs.
Do you check the human patrons for sores or disease? And DON'T tell me about what a dog licks, in this day and age of LGBT rights. TMI? Disgusting? YES. Dogs are much cleaner.
“Actually no they only have ther rigth to ak for the certification which the lady offered. It is no ones buisness why you need one.”
Actually NO. They can only enquire as to whether the dog is a service dog. The dog need not be certified and the owner need not provide any proof.
We’re all aware of that...the question is, should it? And from where in the constitution does the federal government derive said authority? We should ask that about every federal law.
The federal government is too big and is regulating things that are better left to smaller entities, such as state and local governments, or families, or individuals. Subsidiarity is an important, and largely forgotten, rule of governance.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT
SERVICE ANIMALS IN PLACES OF BUSINESS
1. Q: What are the laws that apply to my business?
A: Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), privately owned businesses that serve the public, such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxicabs, theaters, concert halls, and sports facilities, are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities. The ADA requires these businesses to allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals onto business premises in whatever areas customers are generally allowed.
2. Q: What is a service animal?
A: The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. If they meet this definition, animals are considered service animals under the ADA regardless of whether they have been licensed or certified by a state or local government.
Service animals perform some of the functions and tasks that the individual with a disability cannot perform for him or herself. Guide dogs are one type of service animal, used by some individuals who are blind. This is the type of service animal with which most people are familiar. But there are service animals that assist persons with other kinds of disabilities in their day-to-day activities. Some examples include:
_ Alerting persons with hearing impairments to sounds.
_ Pulling wheelchairs or carrying and picking up things for persons with mobility impairments.
_ Assisting persons with mobility impairments with balance.
A service animal is not a pet.
3. Q: How can I tell if an animal is really a service animal and not just a pet?
A: Some, but not all, service animals wear special collars and harnesses. Some, but not all, are licensed or certified and have identification papers. If you are not certain that an animal is a service animal, you may ask the person who has the animal if it is a service animal required because of a disability. However, an individual who is going to a restaurant or theater is not likely to be carrying documentation of his or her medical condition or disability. Therefore, such documentation generally may not be required as a condition for providing service to an individual accompanied by a service animal. Although a number of states have programs to certify service animals, you may not insist on proof of state certification before permitting the service animal to accompany the person with a disability.
I agree X 3. ;-)
As they say in the ‘hood: “Ghettofabulous.” I bet if it was pitbull, she would have been “cool wid it” and want to know if the lady wanted to fight the dog. Or if she has any puppies...
The service dogs for autistic kids help emotional bonding, are trained to provide stress relief when an autistic kid might be on a verge of a meltdown, and can be trained to keep track of the kid, because autistic kids will wander off. The service dogs can also be trained to drag a small autistic child away from a dangerous situation, like a street.
The service dogs for autistic kids are expensive as hell..
I suppose it is how you define "rights". If a service dog is required federal "law" provides that one can be brought into an eating establishment. Whether that is technically a right or a privilege is a difference without a distinction.
For those of you worried about hair in your food you should be more worried about if the employees wash their hands after leaving the bathroom. I have walked out of many restaurants after using the bathroom at the same time as an employee only to see that person leave the restroom and go back to work as if nothing happened. Not to mention the guy fixing that sandwich digging in his groin as if he has a family of critters living there.
After watching a black male massage and play around with a slice of American cheese meant to go on my hamburger while it finished cooking I politely asked for money back and then told the manager about what had happened. She looked at me as if I was in the wrong and her black cook was correct.
Call me racist if you want but I dont eat anywhere black folks are cooking my food. With the cost of food increasing over 100% and what I have seen in these restaurants I am fixing my own meals on the road.
I am eating better. I dont have curly hairs to worry about in my food. I know I have washed my hands and I dont have to see stupid people acting like this moron when they dont get their way.
Cant wait for one of these clowns to come against someone with a concealed weapons permit and they use it in their self defense.
Ronald McDonald says you’re dead!
I’m lexidyslic my self.
Haven’t I seen your post on bookface?????
