Here's the headline: "Shock Forecast: NOAA Predicts Heat Index of 116 in Washington Friday." Not temperature. So the arbitrary, "You're gonna feel like it's 116," but let me ask you, how many of you were anywhere where it was 116 in the last few years, months, to know what 116 feels like?
Why not just report the temperature of what it's gonna be? It's gonna be 100 degrees, it's gonna be 103. That happens every summer in Washington. And now it's gonna be 116! It's gonna be deadly hot, unprecedented heat, 116 heat index. More manipulation. You wait. What's predictably to follow here? Global warming stories.

There have been a few days this summer already whereas I was surprised at how nice of a day it was after hearing trumped up reports of how hot it was going to feel.
Then yesterday I also heard Rush speak of this heat index reporting and I have to wonder if there is now a push in the media to make it seem as if we are having unprecedented heat this summer.
i’m waiting for a report of “car temperature” to further evidence global warming.
reporter: the thermometer in my car is at 145 right now, and it’s just going to get hotter..
This may come as a shock, but some people need to work outside. How do you think the electricity that powers your computer gets to your wall outlet? Ever think about the people who make sure it gets there?
All in all it has been a mild summer so far. I live in Virginia and, in the end of July, this is the first heat wave we have had this year and it looks like it will last 4 days. We have had a few spot upper 90s days, but this is the first time it has stuck around for more than a day. Last year, there were several 2+ week long stretches like this.
I think Mr. Limbaugh’s point is that FEELS like 116 becomes WAS 116 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT in the minds of a distracted public.
He’s just warning people that it is another subtle attempte at propping up an effort to create a worldwide common enemy in ‘global climate change’.
I’m in my home office, where it is 58 degrees fahrehheit outside and pouring down rain. I’m in sweats, with shoes on, the window open for fresh air, and I’ve got a small heater running under my desk to keep my feet warm.
It’s coming down in buckets.
I can tell you one thing. 98 degrees is a whole hell of a lot hotter at 48 years old than it was at 28 years old.
The problem is that this is somewhat unprecedented: with all the recent flooding in the Midwest...this allowed for the dew points to reach near their all time record highs due to all of the floodwaters. Couple that with a large high pressure with 100° heat...it makes for a deadly combo, especially when this pattern is locked and no real relief is in sight.
Heat Indexes and Wind Chill are real numbers that represent equivalent dry and still temperatures for the same amount of time to have actual damage to your body.
I have been in actual temperatures ranging from 127°F down to -48°F.
I was once in an actual temp of -35°F and enough wind to make it -72°F. I speak from personal experience that the -35°F (wc -72°F) was FAR, FAR worse than the -48°F and no wind.
I can’t even go to the beach anymore. I used to live at the beach when I was a teenager.
This may come as a shock, but ...No!
I plan a little light jogging and a bike ride in a couple hours; thermometer here in Tejas showing 101 deg. F at the moment ..
Geesh!
EXACTLY! Drudge was reporting 116° in D.C., which is WRONG!
Not everyone has the luxury to stay inside like Rush or other elites. You know, the blue collar guy you pay big bucks to that knows how to fix things. Not to mention poorer farmers that don’t have heated or A/C tractors, or the plant worker dressed up in a slicker suit to fix a chemical leak at the refinery.
Where in WA are you?
I just checked the weather. It is 89 here but the heat index is 105.
I’ve been in real 105 and it did not feel like this. Real 105 was much hotter.
Not everyone has the luxury to stay inside like Rush or other elites. No!
NOT AGAIN!
I say institute a "Stupid Index"; it would solve a LOT of problems ...
Everett, or as I call it “Neverett”
If my wife didn’t have family here, and if I didn’t love her so much, I would have moved her somewhere sane.
20th straight day above 100, true temp, here.
Stock the fridge. I’m on my way!!
When it's 95 degrees and very humid, it feels like 95 degrees and humid. When it's 12 degrees and the wind is blowing at 40 mph, it feels like it's 12 degrees and windy.
But wind chill is based on almost no clothing. Add some warmer clothing and it starts losing meaning.
