MIDWAY Midway police have shut down a lemonade stand run by three girls, saying the stand lacked a business license and required permits.
The girls had been operating for one day when Midways police chief and another officer cruised by. They had been trying to earn enough money to go to a water park.
The girls needed a business license, peddlers permit and food permit to operate, even on residential property. The permits cost $50 a day or $180 per year.
Midway Police Chief Kelly Morningstar says police didnt know how the lemonade was made, who made it or what was in it.
One girl, 14-year-old Casity Dixon, says the three had to listen to police and shut down.
The girls are now doing chores and yard work to make money.
And the idiots in this town voted in this inbred moron, as well as the city council, to enforce the laws of this sh!tty burg. Well guess what assclowns you get what you pay for. Enjoy your socialist paradise.
I also brake for small churches that are selling lunches for the building fund. And I never ask about their license or permits.
This would appear to be Midway, GA, which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere off of I-95 between Savannah and Brunswick.
The locals should be looking for a new police chief.
Guilty.
The Mob don’t like the competition and the city needs those license fees for the cop’s donut funds....

We had told them, we understand you guys are young, but still, youre breaking the law, and we cant let you do it anymore. The law is the law, and we have to be consistent with how we enforce the laws, Midway Police Chief Kelli Morningstar said.
By a city ordinance, the girls must have a business license, peddlers permit, and food permit to set up shop, even on residential property. The permits cost $50 a day and a total of $180 per year. City officials said its their job to keep everyone safe and healthy, and there can be no exceptions to the rules.
Chief had lot of spare time, how about catching some illegals, who are actually breaking law. duh !!
Unless the stand was a traffic hazard (then move it) the police should leave them the hell alone. I hate these stories. Yet another, welcome to the USSA story. We need a reset.
This is just an outreach program to teach the kiddies that capitalism is bad. Do not aspire to be a capitalist!
Do you know if the Midway Police round up illegals? You know...the law is the law and all...
I think I see the problem.

Walking down the street whistling before 7 AM is a crime in Midway. I kid you not.
I hope they confiscated their Barbies and Jason Bieber CD’s too. Dangerous criminals these girls. Hopefully they will find who is supplying these girls the water, lemons, and ice so that the larger criminal enterprise can be stopped.
Sheriff Bulldyke did a heroic job on this one. When she comes home tonight, skip the DVR’d LPGA and go out and toast a few tall cold ones with the other boys.
Don’t forget to outlaw toys there Meisterburgher.
In other news:
On the same day that Midways police chief and another officer cruised by the girls lemonade stand , as there was not anything else for them to do, down the street an elderly woman was robbed and in another incident a food market was also robbed.
Maybe they should have gone fishing as it seems that they have a lot of free time on their hands.
Well at least the area is safe from these girls ripping people off.
