Glenn Beck was given a unique opportunity on Monday while visiting Israel: he delivered a rousing speech before the Jewish version of congress, called the Knesset.
Where you go, I shall go, Your people is my people, your God is my God, Beck said, quoting the book of Ruth while addressing the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee.
As a man who also worships the one God, in the times that we live in, it is clear that what is going on is Gods work. If we are silent, evil will win. But if we stand up and take charge, God will do the rest, he added, according to the Jerusalem Post.
He also encouraged members to reach out to those of other faiths:
If you go to a synagogue, reach out to a church. If you go to a church, reach out to a JCC. Say, will you watch this with me? After that well talk and eat and get to know one another.

The presumption is that Peter was given great powers and they reside in whomever the church decides to pass them to.
We are also suddenly aware that there are evil men like George Soros who want to end the Republic with no regard to how much death and mayhem he causes. Glenn also gave me a boost to my knowledge of our founding.
Just look at what happened every time Glenn spoke about a book ... sales leaped because the people listening and watching his 'schooling show' were tuned in to get more and more information. THAT is a gift to America which cannot be measured it is so huge.
Yes, Glenn made mistakes during some of the shows (the Newark Stones ring a bell, to name one), and some of us wrote to him to bring more data to him ... and it may surprise you, but Glenn worte back to thank individuals for their help.
Glenn did a show on the moral corruption of Germany that preceded the Nazi rise to power. Cabaret was more than a movie, it was the evolution of morality, to immorality.
There is an endless return here of sorts. Without Judaism and a Jewish family; what would Christianity be?

John 8:57-58
(57) Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
(58) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Christians would do well to go back and translate into English all the old Nazi mass media publications, especially the Volkischer Beobachter. People would then be able to read them and recognize the Nazi's for what they really were.
Agreed. Sort of along those same lines, what has continually bothered me over time is the fact that Glenn professes to be all about learning our country’s “real” history, placing so much emphasis on “the truth” and determining what the original words of the founders “really meant” - very valid and important points to stress in a time when so much has been rewritten and reinterpreted to suit a liberal agenda - and yet he seems to be willfully ignorant of his own adopted faith’s well-documented history. A bit hypocritical it appears to me.
The next time you make an error, click the abuse button on your own post, explain to the mod that you screwed up and ask him/her to delete it. That’s what I did, it prevents even more people from piling on. The mods are really understanding about stuff like that and the quickest way to get their attention is the abuse button.
That was the worst possible mistake I could have made and I have made some doozies. It looked like I was denying the divinity of Jesus and I didn’t mean that at all
I have a grand daughter who is a member of this forum and she lived with me before she started college. We both used the same computer and she failed to log off once and I unknowingly started posting in her decidedly feminine screen name.
I was doing just fine and didn’t notice it until I made a reference to, “my wife”, in one of my replies. The poop hit the fan then, I must have explained things about 20 times on that thread.
My g/daughter just thought the whole thing was hilarious.
Now that is funny, thanks for the laugh.
"The National Socialists were many things. Aligned with the Catholics was not one of them."
Thank you for correcting hwkbeer.
Any Jew would smile to hear a Christian, much less a Mormon, tell him: “I also worship the One God.”
One means ONE. Check the FIRST commandments. Not three-in-one, not one as represented by a statue or a symbol, not one in gold with horns under Sinai, not a new one in New York with golden notebooks. ONE.
He is jealous, and no, you can’t see Him. Or make images of Him. Or make Him more personable. Or make yourself a pocket-version, or a more “tangible” version, come to earth, or an number of “intermediaries.” ONE means ONE.
That makes G-d out to be a liar...G-d forbid.
Deuteronomy 4:35 You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is God; besides him there is no other.
Deuteronomy 4:39 Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
1 Kings 8:60 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.
Isaiah 44:8 Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.
Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.
Isaiah 45:6 so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:18 For this is what the LORD says he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited he says: I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:22 Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
Joel 2:27 Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.
How many times does G-d have to tell you. He is alone...no other...none like Him...no other Rock...no other Savior. Over and over again. But Christianity insists on making another...worshiping another.
Deut 4:12 the LORD spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice. 13 He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets. 14 And the LORD directed me at that time to teach you the decrees and laws you are to follow in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
15 You saw no form of any kind the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, 16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman,
G-d has NO FORM...you give him a form....G-d has NO SHAPE....you give him one. That is 100% heresy...
I don’t have to agree with Glen Beck’s theology and cosmology. I don’t have to go talking to people at churches after synagogue. There are basic unwritten rules of civility and decency that should be observed between members of different faiths, including giving one another space and respecting our respective rights to conceptualize G-d as we each believe. These rules evolved in Europe after the Protestant Reformation, and were best practiced in the United States, although they have recently been under assault there. The Islamic faith is the one that violates those rules the most frequently, and as such its adherents must be regarded with suspicion, and its assaults repulsed. But at the same time, opportunity must be afforded to those of its adherents who have shown that they are willing to observe those unwritten rules. Glen Beck’s a good man, but if he is calling for more interfaith dialogue, he should give it up. Let’s just respect each other and our respective rights.
Congratulations! You have studied Jewish scripture and proven that there is, was and will always be one God and shown through many examples the clearly spelled out message of monotheism - one God, no intermediaries, no helpers, no translators, no intercessors, no split shifts, no messengers, no relatives, no hanging out in human or animal or plant bodily form. He does not desire us to shrink our conception of him to one of human form. Just because we are created in the image of God does not mean that we have to reverse engineer God into human form.
Well said.
My gosh - in light of the constant thrashing Israel is getting from this evil Muslim president we’re currently stuck with, Glenn was simply telling them that he and many millions of us support them and are still loyal to Israel.
