the case could affect foreigners arrested in the U.S. and Americans in legal trouble abroad.Let us go to Mexico and see how many legal rights we have

I believe the time for defunding is long overdue.

Horse sh!t.
Break the law in a foreign country and you are subject to the law of the land. The US consulate isn’t going to do anything for you except tell your family where to find you or the pieces of you that are left.
Ask Michael Fay about the strength of the American consular intervention.

The U.N.'s top human rights official says the U.S. breached international law when it executed a Mexican citizen. Well, the U.S. is off the hook.
It was Texas that iced the dog.
Let the U.N. come complain to us about it.

Fine. Boot us from your little debating club. Oh, and we’ll take our checkbook with us.

there are countries in the world that allow a citizenship claim based on GRANDPARENTS birth location. Thus a criminal who family came to the us in the last century could claim foreign national status.
A US citizen abroad committing a criminal act was and is always in deep trouble.
This was a delay tactic.

For once I would LOVE to be President.
I would immediately issue an executive order. It would state that to insure we never commit such a dastardly offense again, all police officers of every jurisdiction must immediately check into the immigration status of every person the apprehend for any crime. This is to insure that we never again fail to inform a foreign national of their rights. And failure to comply with this requirement shall immediately cause Federal crime funding grants of all type to that state to cease.
Then sit back and watch the liberals heads explode as their “Sanctuary Cities” are effectively neutered!

Look at Americans that broke laws in foreign countries. Pearl the reporter got his head cut off for being non muslim and the like. Americans even broke laws in America and 3000 were killed in the twin towers. /S

One advantage to not increasing the debt limit is that it would probably eliminate our “contribution” to the UN.

Then sit back and watch the liberals heads explode... ya know, I didn't think of that. Since it's immoral/wrongheaded/hurtful/whatever to ask if someone their immigration status... they can't have it both ways
