Cindy Anthony's bombshell claim that she looked up 'chloroform' on her home computer was dramatically undermined today as her former boss told the Florida court she was still at work when the searches were made.
Prosecutors allege Mrs Anthony made up the story to try to protect her daughter, Casey, who they say searched for information on chloroform, 'neck breaking' and death in the months leading up to the death of Caylee, her two-year-old daughter.
A chief compliance officer for Mrs Anthony's old company today produced records which showed she was still logged into her work computer on the afternoons she claimed to be conducting the internet searches at home

I think there was also a question about the programs the police used to get the information off of her home computer not working right and showing more searches for chloroform or whatever when it was actually facebook log-ins or something like that. I don’t know if anyone testified about that but it did come up.
The thing everyone has to remember about technology is it is only as good as the operator on a good day, some things are not all they are cracked up to be.
I hope noone ever searches my computer- I do random searches all the time just because something catches my interest. Doesn’t mean I am plotting anything or plan to use the information for criminal reasons. I am just a very curious creature and want to know more about things.
I thought she actually did work there for a short time, I think the news said she was fired during her probationary period. She just lied and said she still worked there when she hadn’t worked there for ages.
Actually one of the jurors is a computer expert,so I think that will help the state’s case.
I have had some pretty strange and unrelated things come up during a search- but that does seem far-fetched.
The whole family is a nest of pathological liars. Amazing that her dad was a police officer for years and her mother is an RN, seems those are two occupations that expect people to be truthful.
For some reason Cindy and Casey decided to cover up Caylees death whatever happened and why. All Cindys pleadings and concern about her granddaughter being missing were fraudulent, she knew exactly what had happened although I do believe she truly loved and missed her granddaughter. So there was true emotion of sorrow for the loss, but she continued to lie and cloud the facts in order to protect Casey. I think her actions show that, at any cost, including creating a lot of additional confusion, she was going to keep her daughters secret. Cindy and Casey probably even agreed to the story about the claim that Caseys father, George, sexually abused her. I think that was done just in order to discredit him just in case he got too close to the truth, or no longer bought into his wifes protection-of- Casey-at-all-costs- plan.
The searches for chloroform are puzzling, but I think purposely so. Perhaps Cindy did that just to add to the confusion, even if the court finding out that she did those searches at work could implicate her for perjury charges since she, initially, testified they were done from her home computer and because of her sick dog. I think she risked a perjury charge in order to muddy up the waters even further In this case.
I’m waiting for charges to be filed against the defense attorney for suborning perjury..... fat chance.
I can’t be too judgemental of the bytch’s parents. She’s obviously an excellent manipulator and frankly what parent would want to believe that their child murdered their granddaughter. Parents can only do what they can. I’ve seen many instances of parents raising one or two good kids and having a 3rd one be a criminal. Whatever happens the grandparents’ lives are ruined and there is no possible good outcome.
But the stupid bytch only had to take her kid to a hospital and say “I don’t want this kid any more” and walk out. Killing the kid was beyond non-sensical. Too bad they don’t use the chair any more.
No one is going to disagree with you, that this is one messed up family.
All I can say is that I have friends whose daughter was a pathological liar. She told so many lies that when she finally told people that she was having sex with an older neighbor boy (since she was 11 or 12), no one believed her. So, she told them it was her father.
The school reported it and the parents were hauled into court and refused to plead guilty to something they didn’t do. Eventually, it was all straightened out, but the daughter put the family through hell. She continued to put everyone close to through hell and still does.
I’ve checked; there are some claims that she worked for Kodak which was on the Universal lot. But there is apparently no physical evidence that she worked there (like time sheets).
You got that right!
As to the clocks: I have the same thing here. Clocks do "drift" and have to be reset from time to time. Seems I always have one or two of my machines with the time out of sync.
I have known quite a few crazy nurses (my mother-in-law, for one).
It came up in court that Cindy had still been searching for Zanni the Nanny up until 6 weeks when the defense told them their strategy for the trial. So, I believe Cindy was still trying to believe Casey’s claim, and realized then everything were lies.
Did anyone note this in testimony by Cindy’s immediate boss(female)?
She said when Cindy came back from going to salvage yard to pick up Casey’s car, “There was a big hubbub around Cindy at the office”!
Sounds to me like Cindy was relating some interesting details about the car, maybe?
There is an IT guy on the jury. He’ll make sense of it all for the rest. Slam-dunk evidence by the prosecution. For all their failings (and we all have them) I do not blame Cindy, George or Lee for this in any way. Some people are just born bad. I think the prosecution proved the case against Casey beyond a reasonable doubt, and I hope the jury convicts her for 1st degree murder.
Computers may be off by a few minutes One search period was over a 2hr period on the home computer. Then we find out that someone had to manually input the items searched, they just didn’t appear as a pop UP as Cindy said about “neck breaking”. I can understand Cindy lying to save daughter from the death penalty. But it all back-fired and now she has made things worse for her daughter then if she would of said she didn’t do the searches. The Jury now see’s what Cindy’s motives were and that she was scared that her daughter did it, thus felt the need to cover for her.
Actually they said there was one IT person on the jury.
Casey claims he died in a car accident. On Nancy Grace the other night, they had the mother of this man on TV. She believes Caylee is her grand-daughter and is now seeking to obtain DNA to confirm.
I don’t think she will get Murder 1, but I think she will get manslaugher with intent to do harm.
Did you find it odd about her brother being so upset about not being told about the pregnancy and the shower, the tears, emotionally distraught? I read the statement by Anthony Lazarro that when he met Lee for first time, Lee was very hostile towards him. Anthony asked Casey about his demeanor and she replied “ he tried to feel me up”..Anthony never brought up the subject again. But why would Lee be hostile to a boyfriend he met for first time? I can’t help but feel “something happened between Casey and her brother”.....
