It looks like President Obama is taking their cue from the United Nations. Too bad he couldn't give Governor Perry or law-abiding citizens of Texas the same consideration.

I’m not sure how many states will comprise the USA after Obama’s term ends, but it will be less than 50, with stunts like this.
...and perhaps that is his ultimate objective.

Once again, President Not-My-Fault finds another person or group (SCOTUS) to interfere with a court ruling, so later during his run, he can swear that it wasn’t his fault that the Courts delayed the execution of a foreign scum.

The administration said the court should delay the planned July 7 execution of Humberto Leal for up to six months to give Congress time to consider legislation that would directly affect Leal’s case.
How is legislation today going to effect a case from
20 years ago??

and why should the Supreme Court take orders from Obama?
To: WoodlandsTXFreeper2
Is there some precedent for this?
Or are they making up the rules as they go?
Well...that was a dumb question. Sorry, I'm having a blond day.
I always thought that one abides by the laws of the land they were in.
Here is to hoping that Gov. Perry extends a middle finger to The Won and the UN.

"The Obama administration took the unusual step Friday of asking the Supreme Court to stop Texas from executing a Mexican citizen convicted of raping and killing a 16-year-old girl." If you ever needed a reason to unleash your inner hatred of this monster, this is it.
I can only hope that Governor Perry responds to Obama the same way he responded to the EU about a Texas execution back in 2007:
Aug. 21, 2007
230 years ago, our forefathers fought a war to throw off the yoke of a European monarch and gain the freedom of self-determination. Texans long ago decided that the death penalty is a just and appropriate punishment for the most horrible crimes committed against our citizens. While we respect our friends in Europe, welcome their investment in our state and appreciate their interest in our laws, Texans are doing just fine governing Texas.

What is Mexico complaining about? The victim was a Mexican and justice will be served for her.

Very interesting. Zer0 just handed Perry a chance to make himself look like a leader (e.g., by telling Zer0 to go fly a kite) and thus boost his undeclared presidential campaign. Could this have been a deliberate move on Zer0’s part?

The administration said the court should delay the planned July 7 execution of Humberto Leal for up to six months to give Congress time to consider legislation that would directly affect Leal's case. What the **** are the ***holes in Congress going to do? Make it legal for Mexican nationals to rape and murder 16 year old AMERICAN girls? I wouldn't put it past that bunch of lowlifes.
