A new statewide survey in Alaska shows President Obama beating Sarah Palin in her home state in a head-to-head matchup. Continue Reading
The poll, by Hayes Research Group, had a sample size of 500 likely voters and a 4.4-point margin-of-error.
Still, it showed Obama's support as stronger than Palin's in a horserace.
Some 34 percent said they felt "strong" in backing Obama, while 6 percent were "not so strong," and 2 percent were undecided but leaning toward him.
Palin, Alaska's former governor and the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2008, had 25 percent of likely voters saying they felt "strong" about supporting her, while 6 percent were "not so strong," and 5 percent were unsure but leaning toward her.
Still, there were a large number of undecided voters in the survey, with 7 percent saying they'd support another candidate, and 16 percent saying they remained undecided.

Yeah, a month ago you thought Trump could beat Obama.
My sweetheart lives in Anchorage and I consider her and the friends of hers whom I have met to be good, level headed people. They don’t like Sarah because they see her as an opportunist. I have gingerly debated the obvious points and legit experience that I see in Sarah.. There is hope.
To answer this question... I am not surprised of the results but I would believe the majority of those polled live in Anchorage... Like other cities it is left tilted...
I am headed up there on Saturday for 3 weeks.. I will keep my ears open.
My two cents...
She pretty much single-handedly carried Joe Miller past the incumbent in the primaries. This has little to nothing to do with leaving the governors office. I does seem like during the period between the primary and the general election, the opinion of Palin, Miller and the Republican party seemed to change in that state. I believe the ‘insiders’, including the Murkowski wing of the Republicans and the Democrats have converged to change the citizen’s public opinion in that state. I am certain they would still vote for the GOP in the presidential election regardless of the candidates, but for now, the Palin brand and the GOP seem to be down for the count.
“I get trashed for saying it, but Palin cannot beat Obama.”
I won’t “trash” you because I’m not a rabid Palin supporter. However, she is on my short list.
Palin or Bachman can beat Obama because they both can generate enthusiasm. Romney and other establishment types are DOA. Should they win the primary, they will lose much of the GOP base vote in a general election. People just won’t go vote for him.

It’s ok. I get trashed for saying I doubt she’s going to run, and I increasingly don’t like the woman. But I don’t care. My opinion is worth as much as anyone else’s, and I won’t be bullied or insulted out of it.
And we don’t know if this poll was from registered or likely voters, like most political polls. Politico is a deceiver.
LLS
Figures, she's probably beating him by 20 points in reality.

I don’t know if she will run or not. Actually, I would like to see both her and Bachman run.
I’m more or less neutral at this point. For awhile I was starting to dislike Sarah, but have swung back to the liking side. However, I will never be her or any candidate’s rabid supporter. I may support someone, but I won’t lose objectivity to do so.
I agree. All those that say that, SHOULD be called out as PURE WIMPS or MINDLESS TROLLS! I would have more respect for these folks if they just came out and say who they support with a sincere rationale based on sound thinking than just parroting an 'establishement' / RINO / socialist MEME.
Following the premiere of her movie, Sarah just had this comment:
"Man, we're gonna go down fighting!"
Things could not be going better for Sarah. And the opposition still will not talk about the issues.
Exactly my thoughts. Hell, Politico could have done the poll at a libtard hangout somewhere in a libtard stronghold in Alsaka. This poll is meaningless, regardless of whether Palin could beat the AnointedIdiot or not.
The mainstream media are not here to report, they exist to shape opinion.
Skanky survey from Politico. Wasn’t this the state that wrote in Mur-cow-ski? Go figure...

FReeper Brices Crossroads posted these numbers:
“If Sarah Palin holds the McCain states (which is a given) and adds just six more (Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Nevada, Indiana, and Virginia)-traditional red states, in each of which Obamas poll numbers are in the tank she wins the Presidency with 271 electoral votes.
Is there ANYONE who can refudiate this simple math instead of mindlessly parroting MSNBC and saying she can’t win?
If you can’t, I’m not interested in what you “feel.”
“Vomit MSM talking points much?”
Never watch them.
But for all I know that COULD be MSM talking points that are coming out of my mouth and nose the morning after I drink too much.
Are they usually chunky?
