(CNN) -- Prosecutors dismissed a charge Monday against a community activist who was arrested while filming a police encounter with her iPod camera because she was concerned it was initiated by racial profiling.
"I'm feeling vindicated, I'm feeling energetic" Emily Good, 28, of Rochester, New York, said of the decision to have the charge dropped. Good had been charged with obstruction of governmental administration when she began videotaping the interrogation of a black man by three white officers in front of her house on May 12, she said.
"Based upon the evidence, we could not make out the elements of the crime charged," Monroe County First Assistant District Attorney Sandra Doorley said.
Good said she intends to file a civil suit.

One day, when she wises up and becomes a conservative (hopefully), she'll be a great asset to the cause of freedom (hopefully).
Regardless, this is a victory for liberty and a black eye for tyranny.
Hope the cop is fired.

This is lawyer speak for...what?
Had she been within her home and taping through the window, would she had been arrested as well or in refusing to answer the door, have it knocked down by the cop?
We are in scary times.
It is a victory for freedom. If the police are doing nothing wrong then there’s nothing wrong with recording them on video as they do their duty. A cursory glance at You Tube will show that police abuse is all too common anymore.
The cop AND the Chief should be fired:
Those nutty leftists had a daytime rally the next day in that neighborhood, right? Well like 5 cop cars came there and ticketed the cars of all those rally people for —get this-— being more than 12 inches from the curb.
It was CLEARLY an effort to intimidate people the police were chosing to see as their enemies.
I had those lefties, too, but...in this case they were RIGHT.

No lefty victims at all there, they might as well be freepers.

P.S. Rochester is a stinkin' Dem welfare city.

Mazzeo says, City police officers write ticket every night after parking enforcement officers leave for the day. And if theres a parking infraction they come across in their patrol areas, they will write those violations. Thats part of their job.
This is the kind of crap that leads to RIOTS. Why cant the police admit that they made a mistake and all those ticket are void and they wont hassle those folks again. Ya know.... apologize.
Maybe they ticketed those cars legally, but everyone knows it was retribution.
Let the woman out of jail and apologize to her as well as the community for overreacting.
Where is the harm in doing so? Race riots wont be far behind. This is just the sort of thing that can trigger it. Rochester has a history of riots, I used to live there.
That’s the District Attorney, and it is lawyer-speak for “There was no crime committed, the arrest was false, and the jackboot-thug cop is in deep doo-doo.”
At least that’s what I think it means.
If I were a police officer,I’d welcome citizens videotaping me on the job.
She’s a lefty loony... Her boyfriend was on Coast to Coast and after listening for ten minutes I switched it off. Hope the cop keeps his job
Da Po-lice is whack!
Exactly. The cops expect us to ACCEPT the fact that we are under their surveillance, 24-7, and it’s for our “own good.”
And at the airport, they think get to photograph under our clothes.
But let some citizen point a Flip cam at them, and out come the night sticks, pepper spray, or handcuffs.
This is a defeat for tyranny, to be sure.
The idea that some cop thinks law abiding citizens need to "obey my orders" on their own property when they are committing no crime is ridiculous.
He should be fired before somebody gets hurt.
The idiot cop's charges were baseless.
http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20110627/NEWS01/110627014 She’s a screwball activist of some sort, here she is wearing her “Food not bombs” T-shirt. She says she might sue over First Amendment rights
I agree that this was a very clear intimidation effort by uniformed minions of the establishment. We saw a visual picture of the enforcement with a car being ticketed because it was a 0.5" further from the curb while parked at a citizen's meeting to discuss the arrest of Ms Good. All of the police officers should be forced into retraining (at a minimum) for the supremacy of the US Constitution over their superior's orders.
the cop was very polite with this Obama voter....she is a loon who was videotaping trying to expose racial profiling of drivrers....you figure that one out.
Another sniveling little commie agitator like how Obama got his start
