The question here, obviously, is - who is responsible for the accident? Some can claim that Porsche should not make its car to speed up that much. Porsche 911 GT3, the car he drove during his fatal crash on Monday, was capable of hitting speeds around 190 miles per hour. Porsche is known to be the car James Dean loved, and eventually drove to death - Dean was driving Porsche 550 Spyder when the fatal accident occurred, killing the American film hero on September 30, 1955.

As soon as I read about the crash I predicted lawsuit city for Porsche and the dealer. I would expect one to hit the courts before Labor Day.
And some can claim that Ryan should not have made himself to get drunk that much.
He was probably more a liquor guy.
I think it’s more the fault of the booze manufacturer...or whoever designed and built the road. Anyone besides the jackass who got drunk and then drove his car beyond his capability to control it.

I have a two word term about this incident that Libs don’t want to hear. Its called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! You act like a Jackass and the consequences will eventually catch up with you. You cannot blame Porsche, Seagrams, Jim Beam Anheuser-Busch or Bailey’s for your lack of common sense or personal responsibility.

Driving while intoxicated is a crime. Almost any conventional insurance policy states in the “fine print” that there is no coverage if the vehicle is used during the commission of a crime.

Exactly. Most policies specifically state intoxicated driving. His estate gets nothing on policy regarding the vehicles. It is sad that he died this way but to bring up lawsuits is stupid. Wait until the masses hear he was .25 or greater.
I think the case law is pretty well established on this. There have been many attempts to sue car manufacturers for making cars with “too much horsepower” for ordinary non-professional drivers to cope with. I think all those cases have failed and been dismissed.
It’s not the engine that’s the problem, it’s the foot on the pedal.
He was in the mix and had fans and such. It blows over and life goes on. It is like whether Kinneson (sp) could ever sue whatever he was driving on 95. Nope.
