California law enforcement agents have seized 1,200 firearms from people who cannot legally own them because of mental illness or restraining orders.
However, Attorney General Kamala Harris said Thursday that more than 34,000 handguns and nearly 1,600 assault weapons are still believed to be held statewide by people who should not have them.
Most people bought the weapons legally but were later prohibited from owning guns.
But 12 people were arrested on suspicion of illegally owning assault weapons or grenades during a six-week sweep by the state Department of Justice in April and May.
Harris said 90 percent of the people who had guns seized were barred from owning weapons because of mental illness and 10 percent because of restraining orders or convictions usually related to domestic violence.

Stuff that I thought was bizarre conspiracy theory, 4 years ago, all came true.
Yeah, funny thing about that. But I don't think anyone's laughing nowadays, because it ain't that funny. Even a modest understanding of history and human nature says that we'er just a few steps away from mass murder and atrocity on a scale that will make the last century's Grand Guignol look like Sesame Street. We're dealin gwith monsters Laz. Monsters.
Yessir, but mark my words: The slaughter will NOT be attributable to a person or persons. They learned from WWII. No, it will be because of ‘crop failures’ or ‘avian flu’ or a ‘World War’ and the aftereffects or a ‘EMP Pulse’.

.... and a ping to my bro, too.
That’s the Fed definition. The article indicates these guns were confiscated under State authority. Whole different ball game.
Interesting. I'd like to inspect that definition. BRB.
Still is a court finding. Similar to Federal law.
All more-or-less identical to Federal Law. Annoying but within parameters of what we might expect to see, in the premise of 'fairness'. No annotation of 'anyone seeing a shrink' or 'anyone on antidepressants'. Not that they won't go there in the future, mind you....
ABSOLUTELY INDEED.
I’m just blessed that more are awake now than used to be

In large part that is working. However, a vast array of cosmic Kharma is allied against them; their leftist policies and desire to bring down the country will take its toll. And, the turmoil resulting from this - massive taxation of income and wealth, clear default on world debt, loss of urban services, urban riots, attempted weapon confiscation, rounding up of dissidents, etc. will be the one clear signal that most gun owners need.
Until then, staying off their radar and staying underground is called for.
The last two go beyond Federal law. Alcoholics (if *ever* adjucated as incompetant by a court for same) -- kiss yer guns bye bye for life. Also, if you say something to a shrink that can be misinterpreted -- kiss em goodbye for life.
Yep. Typical Nation of Kalifornia stuff.
Prescription records, everyone has them.
Seven billion plus people brings about a lot of problems for Gaia, they must solve that problem, so they are compelled by their goodness to eliminate a few billion of the humans that are infesting their mother earth.
Some things are too evil to imagine, but then people were bored to tears watching thousands of people kill each other, or be eaten by animals, and the beat goes on.
I would say the only thing the doctor has any business knowing is about what gun shot you.
>>Guess this means the SWAT teams will be busy.

*IF* the attrition kicks in.
:(
>I believe mental illness means anyone who has ever admitted to being depressed or prescribed Xanax or similar drugs.
>
>They are using this to make more and more people unable to own firearms.
And given how the law is used to bludgeon the people, at the whims of the government-officers, anyone who ISN’T depressed probably has a mental illness...
>>Most people bought the weapons legally but were later prohibited from owning guns.

>These were U.S. Citizens doing what they were legally allowed to do. Subsequently they were criminalized by retroactive rules drafted and put into effect by their state legislature and governor.
Question: how is this NOT a form of ex post facto law?
Furthermore, how is it NOT a violation of 18USC242> (Deprivation of rights under color of law.)
2008 Dangerous Weapons Control Law

I’ll have to try reading - and understanding it tomorrow. Right now I might be in violation - even though I am in beautiful downtown rural NW PA.
