HOUSTON - Police have arrested a Transportation Security Administration officer on accusations of theft.
The arrest was the result of an internal investigation, according to a TSA statement.
The employee was employed with the agency since 2002.
The TSA states the action of this officer does not reflect on the approximately 50,000 officers who work to protect the public.

Only one arrested!? They ALL should be arrested for stealing money from the Treasury when they draw their checks.
They all should be arrested for sexual assault.
Arrest for theft. Yeah, the government hates competition.
Another Amish crime?
... yes it does.
Another Amish crime?
Where are these 50,000 officers working? 'Cause it sure ain't at the airports.
When I was in the USAF, we were always told our individual actions reflected on the USAF, that we were ambassadors of a sort in civilian society. Guess what? Our USAF leadership was right.
This TSA agent reflects poorly on the TSA. Attempts to disassociate the TSA from this agent don’t impress me nearly as much as attempts to ensure this sort of thievery doesn’t happen again.
Why are these fast-food company rejects called ‘officers’? They’re empolyees, workers, hired hands, space-taker-uppers. It insults military and police officers to call these union thugs ‘officers.’
Does this really surprise anyone? I have heard of this before and out of TX..Houston to be exact just a couple of years ago. A lady from this area had a brand new pair of slacks, tags still on them..not in her bag when she got here. And son in law had some things taken from his checked bag last year..that was going out of JFK. I try to stem the theft by putting a list on top in each bag that states the tiems, color etc and in big bold letters, PASSENGER HAS COPY OF CONTENTS OF BAG ON BOARD... so far so good...
oh we have a grandson who is TSA in DC..his parents are proud of him...I think it stinks...and I think this group of grab and gropers are disgusting. If I didn’t have to fly I wouldn’t.
We had some things stolen from our bags on the way to Europe. Sine the TSA can X-Ray your bags and open them it is easy to steal things from your luggage.
This statement appears everytime one of their bad egg's shows up in handcuffs.
Why no name?
Oh. That’s good.
I am furious over this!
We flew from Miami to London three weeks ago and when we arrived at our hotel a number of items were missing from our checked luggage.
I have been fighting with American Airlines and can’t get any results!
The only time our luggage was out of sight for anyone to rummage through was when they carted it to TSA for screening and American Airlines told us we should just go to our gate.
We have traveled worldwide for 40 years and we have never had anything stolen from our checked baggage - EVER - UNTIL TSA GOT INVOLVED!
