What a cluster: 385 north exit to Washington Blvd closed, to get to Pentagon City you had to get on off at Glebe Road and drive over to Rt. 1, then thru Crystal City. No way to get to over to Clarendon-Ballston from 395 if you don’t get off at the disaster that is Glebe. Gridlock and angry drivers. All it takes is one stupid glitch like this to bring everything to a grinding halt. If there ever were a real disaster, we would all be screwed. Better like where you are when traffic stops, because you’re going to be there for a long, long time. I hope whoever did this goes to prison.
this is swell. we wanted to go to Henderson Hall today.. damned methodists..

Figure out all the routes going away from the senate office buildings.
Buy a bunch of ‘clunkers’ and have one ‘break down’ on each of the routes at the same time.
Make it thursday afternoon before a three day weekend.
But Metro keeps on going!
WMAL says presser coming up. Arrest made of man w/backpack full of nitrate/shells/AQ materials
Thank God I took today off - I’d be stuck in it.
OK, I posted the previous before I found out it was a real bomb - I’ll never forget being stuck on the parkway for three hours while police searched around Memorial Bridge for a non-existent bomb, about fifteen years ago.
Thank God it didn’t go off.
I disagree, I think they should be given the death penalty.
There was a disaster and we were screwed on 9/11. With the federal government workforce out in the street + the Metro shut down, the DC police restricted the ability to exit from DC by car. We could not move for hours. I finally drove across the 14th St. Bridge when I was not supposed to, as a passenger of mine pointed out. I replied, “tough, we are going”.
I am glad I did because I was then able to see the burning hole in the Pentagon.
I see that Marine Corps recruiting has given in to PC. Given that he lives in Fairfax County + is a Muslim, he was radicalized before he ever hit the recruiting station. But as GEN Casey said after Fort Hood, a greater tragedy would be if we slowed down on “diversity” in the military.
On another note, I just received new guidance from the Office of Personnel Management directing mandatory tolerance for the transgendered in the workplace. Guys dressed as women can use the women’s bathroom + vice-versa. I’m sure that’s what those laid to rest in Arlington thought they were fighting for.
