Musicians argument over religion leads to stabbing

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police responded to a stabbing about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of Willowbrook Drive, said spokeswoman Senior Officer Julie Garcia.

Two musicians staying at the home were drinking through the night and began arguing over religion, said Lt. Raymond Lara.

One of the men stabbed the other in the back, then afterward slashed his own arm from the wrist to the elbow, Lara said.

Both men were taken to the hospital with no life threatening injuries, and no charges had been filed by 8:30 a.m.
