Rush has been hinting at the big announcement. Now it's finally out. He has produced 4 iced tea products, mail order only, with a portion going to Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation.
If I were Rush, I'd have marketed golf balls with the faces of Obama, Pelosi, Weiner, etc, on them....I can whack a democrat. ( hey, that's not a bad idea..call me)
Snapple has gone back to sugar, if you see HFCS bottles its old stock.
I've been really busy lately and have become accustomed to his taking days off so I guess it didn't bother me as much. I can see where one would get their hopes up and end up being disappointed by this.
"Timing is lousy imo and its a lousy idea. Its not cute, its not slick its just another product"
The tea is just another product but I bet he does pretty well with it and donates a lot of $$ to charity (and his wallet) in the process. As for timing ... Its tea and its the beginning of summer, when else are you going to roll it out?
Saw it yesterday at Speedway, and they have a pretty good turnover. Think it was the Green Tea.
I listened to Rush for months waiting for a ‘big’ announcement and all I got for it was this stupid Tea Shit.
“3.If I make a donation to the MCLEF, then I get the tax deduction.
Don’t think he’s really creating that many NEW jobs...a few front office people, at best, but they probably contract out the brewing and bottling to an existing plant, also, they hire an existing call center.”
Agreed, I’ll just buy ice tea locally, you can get 64oz bottles of Snapple for $1.99. They are again using sugar, I can’t stand diet sweetners. And I will donate to MCLEF directly, its not like Rush needs anymore money.
Well I suppose I was thinking that Rush took the gravity of the country’s situation to heart. Lousy timing in that respect.
Same thing I was thinking. Those hideous ties were all he would talk about. They were his wifes, I believe 2 wives ago, idea. He must have lost a bundle on those. So now we are going to have endless shills for tea. I am a fan but his commercial shills are getting bad
I ordered 2 cases.
Interesting. She is a descendent of John Adams. BTW, call me VERY disappointed and unimpressed. I'm the biggest Rush fan and I thought it would be something more important than a new revenue stream.
His tea uses REAL SUGAR and not high fructose corn syrup! When I saw that, I ordered. The crap you get at big stores is filled with nasty corn syrup. This doesn’t have anything disgusting in it. I am going to see if my family likes it. I can’t tolerate caffeine so I can’t drink it myself.
Wonder if he would consider making a decaffeinated?
I personally will ENJOY having Rush Limbaugh tea in my picnic basket! ha HA!.
I thought it was sweet that he was trying to re-create his Mom's tea recipe. I don't have a problem with anyone starting up a business and seeing if it works. Not you, not me, not Rush. Power to him.
Don't you mean "Tea Shirt"? LOL
He came up with better ideas when he wasn’t married, like the Rush Relaxer, an allegedly mink massage glove.
LOL, I remember that!!
No problem with success at all. That wasn’t my point so please don’t interpret it that way or write a comment that implies I had a problem with success. Just expected this ‘big’ announcement to be more on the lines of fighting the enemy.
*snicker*
Maybe or maybe not. But your graphic is fantastic! WTG! Maybe we should put our heads together and get some printed and sell them. :)
Making note to self: must learn photoshop must learn photoshop
I know what you mean. Sorry if I implied you were down on success. I hadn’t been focusing on his announcement but you are right — many people could have thought there was something exciting coming up that maybe Rush could do to affect our chances of getting a conservative nominee or something. That would be better than a new product.
