WASHINGTON – Amid increasing calls for Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says the decision should be up to the congressman and his New York constituents. The former speaker said in San Francisco that she believes the decision should be made by "the individual member" and the people in his district.

Sadly, this doesn’t actually appear to have any effect on the Democrat Party, much less sink it.
I knew when this whole thing started that some Dems would make ritual noises of shock and horror...and then go on to stand by their man. When you look at the track record of the Dem Party, I don’t think you’re going to see a single corrupt Dem pol who has had to pay any price for it in terms of his party. (Think of people like Frank and Rangel.)
It doesn’t have any impact on Dem voters, either.
Sadly & regretfully, you are right. However, IMHO knowing what a “dirt bag”, this guy Weiner is, there is tons more to come out on this pervert and his wife. I read a piece the other day about the Clintons taking Huma under their protective wings as if she was a daughter. Some daughter, thirty-five years old, supposed to be gifted and intelligent and....she marries a pervert like Weiner. Come on, don’t pour water down my back and tell me it is raining. These people are the dregs of society and so is the Democrat Party!!! Having said a mouthful, I still want Weiner to remain in office and be shown as the picture of the Democrat Party!!! It will be the gift that keeps giving!!!

Well this will help in the elections come next year, when Weiner can become the new “Willie Horton” in any future political ads.
This will fit around the Dems neck like a millstone come next year.
Dumping Weener/Whiner in 2011 would help them in 2012, but hurt them now.
