Of course Governor Palin was a public servant (Governor), so she, as a public servant, should be subjected to scrutiny and to the same rules and vigorous scrutiny as other politicians. We need to know about our public servants and all of them. That includes Governor Palin. No one - including Govenor Palin - should get a pass. It makes sense to spend resources to report about her - including reviewing her work - but of course it should be commensurate with how other public servants are reported and commensurate with its importance. It should be good, smart aggressive and thorough journalism - not more, not less. One question you might ask, is she getting about the same treatment as other politicians under about the same circumstances? If not, why not?
If however a news organization is seen as having a bad motive - ie on a mission to destroy someone rather than trying to assemble noteworthy information and report - it is not journalism but something else. Palin should not get "special treatment" or a "media colonoscopy" simply because the media can't get enough of her ...doesn't like her...or thinks it will spike readership or viewers to cover her.

It isn't about Palin. It's about disenfranchising conservatives, denying them real choices in elections so we're left with nothing but socialists and RINOS to pick from in so-called "elections" between Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Because that's worked out so well for the country.
Watch for character assasinations of Bachmann, Cain or any other real conservative who might emerge as a strong prospect for the presidency.

You get Palin's choices for the heads of the FDA, FCC, FAA, DOT, EPA, IRS, Treasury, Commerce, Education, Labor, Justice, FBI. CIA, Homeland Security.....
In other words, you get the most conservative, pro-American, Constitutionally constrained Executive Branch in modern American history. And, a possible major shift in the make-up of the Supreme court and many lower courts.
This will not a bunch of wishy-washy, go along to get along, sharing power, Rinos and career bureaucrats.
That is what they must destroy any chance of happening.
All I kn ow is the MSM fix is in. I don’t care if it is a liberal, conservative or somewhere in between media ... they are trying to push Romney on us. Just another lap dog.

FWIW I believe she is but really won't formally announce until the last minute. Keep the powder dry, keep the left off balance. Make them do foolish things like this.
This wouldn’t be an issue of conern if Republican primary voters were informed. Most are so clueless that they “think” Mittens is a “conservative.” I would be shocked if Mittens is NOT the nominee.
How do you tell a real conservative? Everyone claims to be conservative. There must be at least half-dozen positions to distinguish the real from the Memorex but will voters agree on what they are? Maybe there is no agreement on what they are so everyone can claim to be a conservative. What do you consider the bedrocks?
