Obama's Jobs Plan Takes a Page From Marx
Investror's Business Daily ^ | June 10, 2011 | IBD

The president has unveiled a plan to cut joblessness with an industrial policy from the 19th century. In this "new" economy, government will pick winners and losers for industry. It didn't work then, it won't work now.

Taking a cue from classical Marxist theory as well as vintage union organizing doctrine, both discounting the value of service work over manufacturing, we now see President Obama touting training for factory jobs over all others, pushing government spending in that area and calling it a jobs recovery plan.

It's as if all the economic knowledge acquired in the course of the 20th century never made it to the Obama White House. Obama wants to pick industrial winners while the economy languishes from high taxes, massive new regulatory burdens and his failure on free trade.

Whatever happened to the rugged individualism Americans once favored?

The cancers of liberalism, political correctness (which effectively castrated all but a minority of men).

It took real MEN to build this once-great Nation and today it is almost considered a crime to be a strong man.

Google that and read what was said about what that would do and Wouldnt do to the Demographics of the Country if Passed with the Stewardship of the Whale From Mass. Ted Kennedy.
What has Happened was Predicted, while at the Time of Course The Commies Pilloried the Naysayers but just as Now the Left Prevailed, look at our country now just about all elections are 50 50 and more and more people are on the Government dole,is it intentional,or just Human Nature,The Democrats for decades have appealed to the Basest of human Emotions envy ,Jealousy, Greed because it works our society today Proves it.

Unless we are facing imminent threat from a foreign aggressor, Americans will vote in national elections on the basis of the state of the economy. Inflation is a major factor in this, but the most important issue is jobs. Unemployment is now chronically high.

We all now know that Obama is a socialist and his intent is to expand government at the expense of private enterprise. We also know that government never generates capital. It only consumes wealth; never creates it. We also know that the single greatest aspect of the economy affecting how people vote is employment. If I have have had my job eliminated, my hours cut back, have been furloughed from my job, I am more likely to vote against the incumbents.
Small and mid-sized businesses know that higher corporate taxes and government regulation, which Obama loves, destroys our free market system of prosperity.

Small and mid-sized business owners know that the Obama administration must be defeated in 2012. Their contributing to the elections of those who run against Obama is not enough, however.

The best way for business to insure the defeat of Obama is for them to begin now to cut back their employment rolls even more - even if it means temporarily sacrificing their companies’ profitability. Putting people out of work temporarily in order to insure Obama’s defeat in 2012 will mean a healthier business climate in the years to come. Once we get government off the backs of business and the working middle class of this country, we will be on better footing to grow our economy once again.

It might sound like a draconian measure to lay people off in order to insure Obama’s defeat, but let’s face it Obama is out to destory our country and we are in dire straits. What’s needed, as in time of war, are drastic measures.

In the past, when our country was under a threat from external forces, men (and now women) have been called upon to leave their normal means of employment to join the armed forces to insure the security of our nation for our families and posterity.

Now our country is under a different kind of threat - a threat from within - a threat from our own government which has hijacked our Constitution and has concentrated power in the hands of a few elitists. The threat is no less real than when our enemies have been external to us.

So the call for all of us to make sacrifices in a time of war is no extreme measure but is patriotic. And just as in a time of war when families, communities, friends and churches pull together to get through the crisis, so this should be the same response to those who find themselves out of work. If we all pull together, in the end our collective security will be insured and that of our children as well. Obama must not be re-elected for the good of all.

Exactly. We would need factories if the business climate in this country was conducive to making money. If it were profitable, we would have factories.

But to these pieces of crap running things, the profit motive is a thing to be demonized.

How many times have we heard Obama and his associates speak at college commencement ceremonies where they tout the concept of working for non-profit organizations.

They simply want to kill industry. But hey, gotta have a program to train the sheeple for factory jobs. A government handout.

I guess you’re right. He’s as much as said he wants to destroy America in his quest to create the USSA. That’s most likely what motivates him. You don’t change things you like. You change things you dislike. He think our America, the wonderful, free country we grew up in, is bad. He wants to fix it. Heaven help us!

“I’d really like to believe he thinks he’s going to help the country by turning it into the USSR”

Obama seems to desire fascism/Chinese Communist/expansion of crony capitalism model where the means of production is a partnership between the strong central State and the producers. USSR proved that government having full control of production prevented the economy from expanding and created a huge misery index among the populous. Obama's curiosity with Reagan and his willingness to compromise with the Bush tax cuts says a lot about how he is not a Communist or bust ideologue.

Socially/culturally is where Obama’s totalitarian ambition shines. Control thought, beliefs, the message and reward allegiance to the promotion of his ideology while punishing detractors (The control of health care and education are major keys for this).

I don’t think small businesses have to intentionally lay off people to make a political point. I think they are going to have a terrible time trying to keep ANY employees (in other words, stay in business) given this country’s economic path. The left is really good at tearing things down. They aren’t so good at building things back up.

I think Communism is bandied about way too much and has lost all of it's meaning. Contrary to what Reagan said, Marxists do understand Communism to the point that if you called Obama a Communist, the misguided idiots would correctly laugh in your face.

Was Truman a Marxist for signing the GI Bill of Rights (Huge Federal spending) programs which helped enabled the post WWII expansion/boom? Truman did attempt to institute the “Fair Deal” which would regulate and expand the central government, but to call that Communistic would be wrong.

The best way to piss of Obama supporters would to call him a crony capitalist, which he actually implements with his policies. Is Obama trying to establish full control over the means of production? Regulation does not equal Communism/Marxism. Corporations would have to be destroyed for that to happen and I don't see Obama doing that because too many of his money men still want to live high on the hog through their PRIVATE adventures.

Exactly. Myself and everyone that I know are just hunkering down and trying to survive. All expansion plans, investments in new markets or product/services are on HOLD until this passes (if it ever does prior to a complete re-set). The "real" unemployment figures are staggering (the bogus crap that BLS publishes doesn't come close to accurately stating the dire straights that we are in).

I see a massive similarity in progressives, socialists and communists. They all want to replace God’s role in society with government, because their god is government.

Sharia works the same way, but with another false god.

Yes, central planning has many similarities, but there are also plenty of divisions.

Are limited government proponents fascists? Are "progressives" who own corporations or private businesses along with private property Communists?

First answer is no of course, they are for liberty and self-reliance from a earthly governing point of view.

The second answer is also no, the "progressives" are just another form of totalitarian nanny Staters. Calling those people Communists during a debate would open up all kinds of ridicule for "them" to use. "Progressives" may have Marxists tendencies, but they take "a little bit of this and a little bit of that" and create their own brand of totalitarianism.
