Time and Newsweek offered cover stories plus 15 Pages to Mark Foley in 2006; but about 160 Tiny Words on Weinergate. Talk about your double standard.

Oh indeed. That they were literally forced into reporting on Weiner, was in large part I think because of the unfortunate name of Weiner. The temptation to run the story was I think, too much for even the MSM to resist.

I wrote this piece back in 2006 when the Foley scandal was in full swing.

The parallels are remarkable, not the least of which was Foley resigning in disgrace while the Weiner hangs on in order to “do the work of the people”.

Despicable.
