Romney to Tea Party movement: No third party bids!
CNN ^ | 03/9/2010 | By: CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney has a message to Tea Party candidates nationwide: If you lose your Republican primary bids, stay on the sidelines.

The former Massachusetts governor on Monday warned the grassroots movement not to mount third party efforts in general elections, which he said would siphon votes from Republican nominees.

"If there is a conservative candidate that runs in the general election, then obviously, divide and fail is the result," Romney said in an interview with the conservative Web site Newsmax. "Hopefully Tea Party candidates will run in respective primaries and they will either win or lose. And if they win, they will go into the general. If they lose, they won't, and they will get behind the more conservative of the two finalists."

Romney explained that "dividing our conservative effort in the general elections" would "basically hand the country to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, and that would be very sad indeed."

I cannot see me ever voting for a “third party” candidate as I view them as being egomaniacs who are willing to put their country in more peril
___________________________________________

So to avoid that improbability you will vote for a guy who has proven that he could not care less for the country

A guy who deliberately dodged the draft TWICE when his country called upon him to serve...

a guy who taught his FIVE boys not to serve the country in the military either...

Williard Mitt Romney is not a PATRIOT nor does he love this country by any stretch of the imagination

Peril ???

Yes I coulod see Mitty putting us in peril

Why I can see him bringing back the draft because hes got us in so deep

But for other men’s children not his

Hate to find myself agreeing with Romney - no third party efforts unless you want to re-elect Pres. Obama. The last time a third part won was the Republicans electing Lincoln.

Unless, of course, you want to support the Greens. I’d like to see the far left of the Democrats abandon Obama for some Green Freak.

Of course Romney could significantly help prevent a Third Party movements by dropping out of the race!

Election 2012 is about saving our Republic and its restoration.

Only a truthful, all American, girl-next-door, patriot can possibly lead us to victory. That person is Sarah Palin. She’s been smeared, lied about and she’s still standing, stronger than ever.

Willard Romney needn’t lecture us TEA Party partiots about splitting the vote. We won’t vote for the lying, gun-grabbing, abortionist pig, government heathcare, homosexual-marriage & rights, perfect hair, faux conservative, evil social son-of-B, NO MATTER WHAT!

Sarah Palin trusts in God and knows that in order to restore our Republic, that God must be brought back into our public square.

OUR INALIENABLE RIGHTS COME FROM OUR CREATOR, *NOT* FROM GOVERNMENT.

RUN SARAH, RUN!

MITT ROMNEY!

ATTENTION Conservatives!!

If you EVER want to 'win' back the country; you'd better 'win back' the education system.

(The media wouldn't hurt; either!)

“No he’as not. He’s far worse. He’s the author and impetus of ObamaCare for starters. If a Republican governor (Romney) could do it in Massachusetts, then WE (Obama and the socialist democrats) can implement OUR health care package for all of America!”

Romney’s own words:
“There’s something to be said for having a Republican who supports civil rights in this broader context, including sexual orientation. When Ted Kennedy speaks on gay rights, he’s seen as an extremist. When Mitt Romney speaks on gay rights he’s seen as a centrist and a moderate. It’s a little like if Eugene McCarthy was arguing in favor of recognizing China, people would have called him a nut. But when Richard Nixon does it, it becomes reasonable. When Ted says it, it’s extreme; when I say it, it’s mainstream.”

Same reasoning applies to health care, global warming, etc. When the Republican is the one in favor of leftist policy, it will be mainstream.

I certainly would favor 4 years of Romney over another 4 years of Obama.

Hmm. He did have a bit role in one episode of NYPD Blue, and, I think, a single episode of Beverly Hills 90210. As an actor, his claim to fame would be the lead role of Garibaldi in the five-year run of Babylon 5. When that series ended, he ran for Congress as the Republican nominee in Los Angeles/Ventura Counties. After losing to the Democrat, he says he was pretty much blackballed in Hollywood, since he was outed as a Republican. That’s when he turned to talk radio, where he’s been very successful.

Yes, exactly as you and I agree, he’s NOT a true conservative, not by a long shot. No conservative would call pro-lifers “anti-abortion freaks”, or spend a lot of his air time praising Romney and mocking Governor Palin with all the talking points and vitriol of, say, Bill Maher.

I posted about it because he has kept his true liberal nature under pretty tight wraps as he was building his radio career, claiming to be a conservative, talking the conservative talk. It concerns me that he’s now got a very big microphone on over 200 stations, 17 of them in the top 20 metro areas. In my area, he’s sandwiched right between Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. He’s managed to inflitrate the conservative talk radio universe, and now he’s peeling off the veneer of his fake conservatism. So now we have the equivalent of Air America right in the thick of things, only with a MUCH larger audience than Air America ever managed. He’s become fairly popular, and he does have influence. Not everyone is as informed or discerning as you or I or others who read Freerepublic. He’s in a significant position to mislead the less informed.

This guy, promoting Romney on a daily basis, bashing Gov Palin on a daily basis, and heaping offensive insults and namecalling upon social conservatives is bad news. If this worries anyone else, as it does me, email or call your local broadcast program director and complain.

No ROMNEY.

If the GOP takes Romney ---- Obama and Romney are the SAME.

Obama and Romney are the same. Twins.

Same ineligibility.

Same RomneyCARE.

Same link to IAG and European Sharia.

Same link to Soros.

hmmmmmm....my ‘theory’ is making more and more sense even to me now....lol. I am serious about starting an FR petition and letter campaign to get the other conservatives to bow out of the primaries should Palin get in.

Very clearly, we need to make VERY sure that we fight hard in the primaries. If we lose there, we lose no matter who the Dems nominate (and it’s by no means a certainty that it will be Obama)

Suddenly Republicans want to be friends with the Conservatives? We'll support Republicans with the same vigor that they heaped on us over the years.

And Mitt, don't worry, we'll support you just as Sarah Palin has been supported and championed by your fellow establishment Republicans.
